Nice story, however I think people realize how important that character was to the series, otherwise she would not be in three of the eight films that involve Englund's Freddy Krueger, in a series where the average character screen time is thirty minutes before their killed.

@Intestified Since I AM NANCY has been released, people see her importance now much more than before. Heather now has larger lines at conventions. I spoke to her about the Nancy fans emerging from the woodwork, she said since the doc, she's noticed it too. There are a lot of big Nancy fans, but a lot more now.

The sad thing is, where I live (Sydney), I'll never meet a girl who loves A Nightmare on Elm Street and Nancy/Heather as much as Diandra here does.

I've seen like 90% of the Freddy movies and occasionally a couple of times each year I dream of him randomly. Whenever I dream of him he's never violent or mean, he's just you know there....kinda weird. And one day when I was in a diner and I went to fix my hair and the bathroom and I felt uncomfortable and I could hear a gruff voice in my ear but no one was there. You make a great nancy btw.

I loved your video and your page as well. I've always felt the same way but towards the character Alice (and sometimes Kristen at times) Everyone has telepathic dreams with someone from time to time in their life, and I am very prone to them with those around me, PLUS I am a huge Nightmare on Elm fan, so I always felt connected with Kristen and Alice, plus my personality is alot like theirs as well. Question, what did you think of the new Rooney Mara Nancy in the remake? Just curious :)

you seriously are for Nancy what I am for Mark from FvsJ, though it wasn't a really a well received film, the character stuck out for me. I was already a huge Brendan Fletcher fan, and in all the RPGs I was always in Nightmare related, I always played this paranoid, twitchy kind of character who had a past and vast knowledge of Freddy. Lmao I almost felt like Mark was ripped off of my own created characters when I first saw him on screen, but instead I decided to go with it. Elm St Rules!

@NancyThompsonOfElmSt I must admit, of all the films, I found them all to be stupid except #1 and #3. The rest, I think, were poorly made and by then, they'd run out of ideas... But I think it was more the actors (aside from Robert) and the scripting, obviously, than anything else.

And alot of them I'll admit were kinda cheezy (Ive only seen Dream Child once and I only watch Freddy's Dead when Im bored)....but I think the fault of what happened to the series was the fact that it was given to people who frankly didnt specialize in great horror. They had their runs, but it was nothing special. Time was also a factor. Personally I think the actors did a greta job with the characters.

Interesting story, Great to know where it all began. It is remarkable how alike you look like Heather did as Nancy in Nightmare 1 and even in new nightmare.If i cut my hair and shave my beard I look a little like Johnny Depp in Nightmare 1 but nowhere near enough to go halloweening as him.
