this was written by AL KOOPER from Blood, Sweat and Tears in 1968 in the album Child is Father to the Man. Donny Hathaway covered it in 1972. love all versions of the song though!
Thank you to everyone for watching and commenting on this video I wish I had a real mp3 studio version but i dont sorry and saddly I'll never get to see her do this Live.... Damn You guys jus dont know what this woman and her music meant to me
@Iamthebirdmanjr I feel the exact same way. From my discovery of her voice in 2007 until now, I still get chills. No artist now applies so much passion and emotion in their voice. Sadness cannot even express my feelings towards her death. I felt as if a piece of me is gone too, as cliche as that may sound...
@daybreaker123 Amy’s You’ll Never Know makes me both cry and want to live… You say you have a recorded version of it. Would you PLEASE PLEASE email it to me at lenaborisova@yahoo.com

@MD5 I don't know exactly, but by the sound of her voice and her Back to Black era's style, it could be late 2006 / beginning of 2007. She really is at her best here, as she was in Dingle documentary or in her SXSW gigs. Mid 2007 is the beginning of the downfall, so I don't think she would have sound that great, even if she was still really good... She just had a different way to deliver her songs. This cover is a blessing. I would probably be dead if I had been in the crowd that night.
one of my favourite songs ever being covered by my favourite artist ever. by the way, it's called 'i love you more than you'll ever know' and it's originally by donny hathaway :)
she is the best dinger of our generation..she was 27 and SHE IS DEAD!!! OMG I AM SOO SAD, HOPE SHE IS FINE AND IN PEACE. I LOVE YOU AMY FOREVER,

How incredibly haunting her voice is in this song. It both goes right through you, and right into the center of you like a cold winter wind.
Why does it switch out a little into a middle in?

Anyone know when this was recorded? Definitely looks like the Black to Black years, so I'm assuming 2007 or 2008.

Man, I wish the quality was better. Hell, I wish she would have recorded Hathaway covers on her albums.
