I love mustangs, but having owned a trans am and having plans to own and LS7 swap another one, I can honestly say that Even SVT Cobras have to go balls to the wall to even hang with a stock LS1 T/a. Mine had borla catback, pacesetter headers, Intake, and igniton mods and i was running high to mid 12's with street tires. The newer mustangs are just to heavy, though i imagine hte 2011 5.0L is going to tear some asses open. In this case Ta > mustang.

Try racing a stock mach 1, there average are low 13s and the recrod was 12.7, with only 315hp from a 4.6. nice t/a though.

Maybe with a bad driver. 03/04 cobras RECORD time is 11.98 but the average cobra runs 12.5, just as the mach 1's record is 12.7 the average is 13.1, but if you throw the same EATON s/c off the cobra and onto the mach you be seeing around 440hp with is low 12s avaerage easy. Its all been done, recorded and documented. To bad i dont got 14 grand to spend on a mach.

Yes sir 11.98, google it up. Id waste 14g on a mach 1 because their DOHC forged engines can handle more than 650hp on a stock block unlike the LS1, not to mention with a minor bolt on i can get up 340hp matching the ls1 while running slightly faster. Also i already have an 87 trans am wich will be my gas savor once i get my mach 1. Plus in west texas WS6 goes for 18grand or more. One day though i will get an 02 ws6 just because their wicked fast and look good. One car at a time.

Where do you live? Whats your elevation? I live in Utah and went to Wendover and their track is trash. Almost impossible to gain traction. Poorly paved asphalt. At the light you have to hold the brake or you slide forward. And at that high elevation my best time was 14.3. I was fucking pissed. Lol.

Southern Virginia, Elevation is like 2,300ft the track is a good track well maintained they keep it clean the rubber build up is burnt and swept from the track pretty often. I sold the T/A for a 03 Cobra, but like in the video above I was never beaten by a stock or near stock Mustang GT of any year before 05 I never raced a 05+.
