The problem with videos like this is that the guys are SO GOOD that they can pull off the stuff that they show here, like the spinning to the outside of the knife, the rear scoop kick to the stabbing hand at 1:41 (WTF) etc etc etc etc.

But if YOU try to pull it off, you will get killed 100% of the time. What's good for guys who have been studying with their brutal uncles since they were 3 years old isn't good for westerners.

Most of the masters have reallife experience like the whole pencak silat is based on, reallity!

So I don't think they just show tricks.

Thats the beauty of Pencak Silat do the most impossible things from the most imposible positions ... and it works for real

@carcosa hehehe, yes its acommon things that happen, well for all disbelievers the basic concept here called `dodge and hit` concept, yes it is the same concept that we find in boxing/kickboxing(see how the master dodge the attacks and deliver hits?), the differents are in the excecutions, in silat we used alot of angles and altitudes.
