I had put down HoN for months; decided what the hell. Started it up and was like wow these new heroes are Soooooo much better than some previous heroes. Only complaint with it is the " early access"

I think the reason LoL will continue to be more popular than HoN because it is more noob-friendly, and it does indeed take the skill level of tetris.

atm I prefer dota 2 in every single aspect, the teams at valve working on it are doing really well and have already made some great decisions, once the game is complete it will be better than all the other "mobas", complete with modding support that every game valve release has. With SDK tools that are really well documented (map editor included). HoN is its own game now, and now its more of a preference of dota vs HoN(their own developed game) rather than dota vs HoN(dota with extra features)

Those are only some of the reasons. What about a courier? Like seriously, do they think everyone takes teleport? And how can there not be the ability to share consumables like pots and oracles etc? Why can you not drop items? You have a dorans blade but you have enough money for a vamp stick, does that mean you should automatically sell the blade or wait another 2.5k gold for you bloodthirster?

@kelvin2187 That's EXACTLY how I started playing LoL primarily.

I still believe HoN is the superior game, but every one of my friends plays LoL and so I naturally drifted to LoL.Well... that and S2 betrayed it's player base too many times.

I also CANNOT believe that Riot games has NOT implemented Replays, Remake or a Pause function, pardon my language but what the fuck is wrong with them? these are basic functions. Sigh.

I loved your video and how you compared between the MOBA's, but there are some things that bothered me much, the first of them is how the video kept repeating stuff(like showing dw and midas alt avatars) over and over till my eyes started to hurt. i wouldnt have continued watching the video if not for the text remarks that youve written. Just letting us watch a good replay or watch a slideshow is healthier for the eyes.

also i would love if youd elaborate more. other than that great work!

I played HoN for a year, the LoL for 2 years (up to the present).

Not sure why I made the switch, as when I first tried LoL I didn't enjoy it much.

I gave it another go, and have been playing it since.

Probably gonna switch to DotA 2 on release, didn't make it into the Beta

you say league of legends champions arnt unique enough, what what you do too fix that? like what kind of heros do they need too make?

@thegreatninjaman You can't fix it, LoL development always operates under the premise that their player base is retarded.

For example; Swain was originally going to have a Maledict/Cursed Ground style move(Unique damage amp over time) but it was changed to a regular % boost (Torment) because the developers thought the original version would be "Too confusing and difficult" for players to handle.

I think Riot/LoL needs to work on balance before focusing on new characters.

Heroes of Newerth is dying, I just find from experience this statement to be false.

I don't think a map editor should be introduced to HoN, yes it could be fun and allow creative interesting "ideas/games".

But S2 HoN is about moba. Don't confuse it with WC3 or SC2.

Why would you want to sacrifice HoN servers for TD (and all the other crap) that WC3 brought.

@quaddile Run it in compatibility mode for Windows 95 , it'll be moving at a crawl, but you'll be able to adjust the settings accordingly. Afterwards, change it back to regular mode.Compatibility mode option can be found by right click, properties on the HoN.exe file.

My computer is extremely old and crummy, and it runs HoN just fine, so I'm sure yours can do it too.

I agree with you, however you have to keep in mind that valve is still importing all the old heroes so they cant put their creative touch on any heroes yet. I feel that valve is going to be very strong once they can put their own heroes in the game, as valve is one of the best gaming companies to date
