Was there a remixed or updated version of this song? The one I have on CD, probably not from the 1979 album, is about 45 seconds longer and a little crisper (it uses clavichord instead of that more ethereal synth sound).
Ici seul le clip est inventif... J'ai toujours regretté qu'il n'y ait pas de suite musicale à "This Town Ain't Big Enough " tellement nouveau et génial comme style même aujourd'hui en 2008 !
Sparks proving that style and great music are timeless. Great in 79,89,99 and it will sound great next year too! And don't even get me started on the hours me and brothers spent doing 'the bloke from Sparks' impressions....
A new version of the U.S. game show "Beat the Clock" started in Sept. 1979, in the same year this song was released. So why didn't the show use this song as its theme?
Probably because the producers weren't aware of it at that time. "Beat the Clock" was a top 10 hit in the UK, but got no mainstream airplay in the US.
i wonder how many takes it took russ to go backwards through the cardboard cutouts at the end...he nailed it in the cut they used though, who knows maybe only took one take
j'arrive pas à comprendre vraiment quelle heure il sera exactement lorsque tu liras mon commentaire! Quelle chorégraphie, géniaux frère Maël, still in heaven!
Brilliant, saw them perform this last night. He said its taken 30 years for us to have the technology to perform this live!, Feel priveledged to have seen them, and Ron looks exactly the same as in this video. Ron even managed a wry smile at the end!!-bless him
kinda funny...the girl second from the end is out of sync every time with the other girls. Also great when Ron and Russell look at each other when he says' "but there's only one of us"
This song's awesome! This band's cool. I like it at 1:53. I dance to this while i'm on the phone to my friends. I find it on You-Tube and i pick up the phone next to my bed and i crank it up and i sway my hips
Ron and i have the same hair texture, however i think, I'm almost certain he chemically alters it. so now i must do the same! Next week i hope! Good Luck!
These guys are adorable. :) They're just fun to watch, hahah.
