  • @AZco47 @AZco47 cool ill try and make some more crowd vidoes for everyone. i agree spelling has nothing to do with intelligence and i can understand you fine.

Just like you can't call someone dumb because they speak another language you don't understand. you can't call an asd dumb because they use a pictorial language system instead of a verbal system.

thats like calling the egyptians dumb because they drew pictures insread of words on walls.

  • i mislf cnt spel soe im gld thers anothr on the ASd lik me -im aspergers aswe wel an hav tryed tu undrstnd whi ise it soe hard fr ppl tu undrstnd me

  • My son is autistic, and I am excited to find these videos!! I think this is a great way to share information with friends about my son's various differences and how to deal with them. Thank you so much for sharing your story here. :-)

  • @maggiestahl no probs glad you liked them :-)

  • These videos have so many mis-spellings ('recieve')and

mis-used words (consistently saying 'your'' when the contraction 'you're' is the appropriate form) that I am not comfortable reading the information.

I don't mean this as a slam on the video, more of a self-observation; but it would be

a better video if the words were used correctly.

  • @NeatHedgehog i know i can't spell i have dyslexia aswell as asperger's its common to have dyslexia and reading / writing problems when you have an asd spell checker says your/you're is correct so i need a spell checker that tells me the correct contraction non exist as far as i know.

  • @NeatHedgehog I find this insulting to weaveintothewin2. You say that you're not slamming his video but in reality you are. Obviously if he has an ASD he is going to have spelling mistakes. You are reminding him that he has an ASD. He is doing his best to help people & if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. Fair enough if people like you have constructive criticism and say the video will be better with such an such in it but no you have to go and pick on the spelling mistakes. Poor

  • @NeatHedgehog This person appears highly knowledgeable to me- spelling has NOTHING to do with what a person knows or can help another person with. I deal every day with the issues covered here. I am grateful for the tips and also helping my family understand what it is like to walk in my shoes. I always tried to hide my distress, at least this person accepts, deals with it and then informs others about it. Spelling... I think that is the least of the things he (or she) faces.

  • I have noise sensitivity and make sure to keep ear plugs with me as well.

  • @lisababy4lyfe yeah they are a life saver its best to have them all the time in your pocket or bag just in case you bump into something noisy .

  • Autism isn't as bad as it seems. U forgot all the good things that u give me & that u have. I'm thankful for all the good & the bad. Love & hugs keep gong x
