  • What the fuck at the music.

  • PLEASE REPLY! - I have just installed 1 red and 1 blue cathodes into my pc and there awesome, however the akasa ones dont have very long wires and i cant get to the switch from the outside. Can CCFLs burn out like normal light bulbs, can they be left on for long periods of time?

  • @MagicalFlump Hi, I think all lights eventually die. But on the packaging should be a life time number. Mine says 30 000 hrs, which divided by 24 hrs = 1250 days then divide that by 365 days and that is ~3.4 years. That should give you a rough idea. Also, becareful extending the cathode wire it can/most likely will dim the cathode.

  • @BoxeoP4P Thanks, mine just say long life. But i have just added another molex to my AX850 PSU and have just managed to get the switch in the top HotSwap bay, so i have to take off the panel to do so. Thanks Allot!

  • How did you get white cathode with Red Led fan not make a pink glow? i just orderd white cathodes as well and i don't want it be PINK

  • @bowzefrawr I didn't do anything special, I just placed them and that was it. My only explanation was that the white cathodes weren't that bright and were pretty far from the small red cathode. This caused them not to mix and mash their colors.

  • @BoxeoP4P ah ok cool

i just got my 2 white cathodes so... what you think if i get 2 Small Orange and Yellow and 2 big Red Cathodes with the white would look ok? i was thinking having the white up-top and mix colours down bottom

  • How'd you mount that fan in the bottom right at around 0:05? Did you just drill some holes yourself?

  • @Tokiopopski Nope, I used zipties (Black to match the paint). You'll find a lot of holes on the case to mount your fan and zipties to.

  • What ever you used worked out great for the vid! Keep them coming!

  • lol watch in 480!

  • Hey that lamptron, so all you do is hook your cathodes up to that? from there hook a molex or something to housing?

White cathodes ftw, i love their look, probably going to do something with another color if i do install them.

how do you like that Haf X? im debating between a few cases and have heard mix opinions

  • @2mustange Hello 2mustange. That is correct, this particular lamptron device can be hooked up to 8 different cathodes on one side. The opposite side has 1 port to plug in you're power through molex cable. I purchased this from PerformancePC online and they actually give you an option for the molex cable. You can either purchase just the molex cable or a molex cable with a rocker switch to turn cathodes on/off. Finding a good spot to install it is another story.

  • @2mustange I love the HAF-X case. But of course there are things to improve on almost any case. If your a worry wart about dust, all the intakes have filters although they are cheap filters. Also has a small window to look on the insides if you care about that (due to the side panel fan)

  • you have 2 sound cards? Wuts the product name for yo cathode

  • @JaCieKochams2 nope. One is a sound card (x-fi) and the other is a network card (killer 2100) but I no longer have both. Cathode brand is logysis.

  • I just saw this pop up on the little overlay things (I usually turn them off)... that song is damn good!!! Does the 1055 have an unlocked clock multiplier?!

  • @mbe102 lol, yeah the song is good. Nope no unlocked multiplier for the 1055T, its not a black edition, it comes in a purple box =( lol. I was definetly going to upgrade my motherboard and cpu to new gen, but I had to give all my money to my family, so now I can't afford it...lol. But I was defintely waiting for the new amd cpus and mobos.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the information. The new 9900 max was the one with the tape. Good to know that this model doesn't. I'll be sure to check out your unboxing video and just may invest in one. Thanks again for the quick and thorough response, I appreciate it.

  • I'm on my cell phone so I may be wrong but that cooler looks like a cnps9900. How do you like it? I've been contemplating buying one, but the installation using double sided tape seems a bit sketchy. Is there anyway to avoid using it? I've heard about it melting onto motherboards and ruining them. Also how did you achieve the green led's on the cooler? Again I'm on a cell phone so the color may not be green. Thanks!

  • @DcaneJR Hi Dcane, it is in fact a CNPS 9900NT Black nickel version. (it also comes in a copper color). I did an unboxing of it, if you were interested in viewing it. Just check out my channel. Noise levels are pretty quiet, and won't be heard inside your case. Also, there is no double sided tape involved with installing this CPU cooler, lol. They use the mounting brackets (and blackplates for intel). It is infact green, and more of a glow. The green glow is the included/stock LEDs =).

  • @DcaneJR im actually debating if i should do a temp test on the CPU cooler in the near future. But other than giving ur temperature facts, I can tell you that on first hand it does decent cooling! It's not the best. It really depends on how far you plan on overclocking. For medium-high to extreme overclocking I would look else where. Zalman also released a new CPU cooler of the same look. However, I have no experience with it, sorry! Let me know if you need anymore help.

  • really nice looking case! :) im getting some white CCFL's and nanoxia fans together- I think they will look nice?? (nanoxia fx12 series)

  • @olivierhacking thanks! That will look awesome. The white lights go with almost any color scheme =)

  • @BoxeoP4P but one thing, will the white cathodes look good with UV cathodes? cus i have 2 uv cathodes!!

  • @olivierhacking hmmm, are u using the uv cathodes for UV reactie things inside your case? If so, im not sure if will interfere with the uv reactive parts in your fase (not sure if they require complete darkness to be seen as UV reactive). Srry ive neer had uv cathodes before. And IF NOT, mixing them with white light may be a bad idea. the white light will be very bright and fill your case. UV cathodes are typically not that bright and will possibly be overpowered by the white light.......

  • @olivierhacking .....unless you stragically place them inside the case.

  • @BoxeoP4P ok i will strategically place them :)

  • @BoxeoP4P plz go look at the movie of my pc :D i just uploaded it quickly so u can see!!

  • I like the look of the white cold cathodes I'm going to get a couple of footlongs for my case. Nice Rig BTW tis l337.

  • @AllKidsOutNow Thanks, lemme know when you got your vidz up for your pc build =)...I'm gonna post another video of my pc soon lol. Yeah so just pm me or leave a message in my channel. happy new year btw!

  • nice system check mine out.

  • AMD IS SHIT

    INTEL 4 LIFE

  • @Campermadmusti ya, I might think of getting an intel on my next upgrade. However, I do like AMDs price. Great point though, and fantastic way of getting your point across!

  • @BoxeoP4P I would not listen to him wait till the new AMD Bulldozer CPU comes out and see what is better .

  • @STRIKER520 thats a great idea, I think I will wait for the bulldoze to come out first before I do any upgrades. (that means new motherboard too , lol)

  • @Campermadmusti you sir are just a dumb ass that gose around all videos of AMD systems saying the same thing......

  • @insanegaz lol, does he really go around all videos doing that?

  • @BoxeoP4P yep

  • @Campermadmusti your intel is my dick, you love sucks both!!!...

AMD RULEZ =DDDDDDD AMD better than Nvidia and Intel together...

  • @lytyon no man intel is betta babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • @TheDQKing everyone is entitled to their own opinions, lol

  • Great build. You should post specs. Also what does the lamptron controller control?

  • @kassdra

    Hi kassdra,

Thanks for the comment and the tip also. The lamptron controller is that black box on ttop right of the case. It has 8 ports on the left side that you can plug cathodes in and one plug on the right side for input power. I bought this from performance pcs and they give you the option to add a rocker switch to the input power side cable for like a few dollars extra. Theres also a 4 port version available there.

  • @BoxeoP4P

Thanks I will be using this case for my next 6 core build, I thought it was some sorta inverter but i never heard of lamptron. And i would also like to ask if you can actually see a difference in your latency's with that NIC card?

  • @kassdra I don't literally "SEE or FEEL" any difference between the two. Maybe i'll upload a video or two for you testing with my onboard vs NIC ping on an internet speed test website and file transfering on my network. Ill get back to you. I'll also be posting an outside video of my case soon.
