My favorite line: ""Man! Like, you didn’t say anything about we were gonna work up near the cannonballs, man! I thought we were working, like, an officer's club dance, man!"
My dad bought this album when he was in college in the 60s; he introduced it to me in the 70s and we still quote it almost every single day. "Bad scene, Vix!" "Co-LUM-bus day!" "Rumble, rumble, rumble, mutiny, mutiny, mutiny." "They're startin' in on their little nut cups." "Popeye." "The Un-British activities committee, that's who." "Whole island solid concrete."
Oh, and I forgot to say, I thought the video presentation was great and I wouldn't worry too much about a detail here or there.. I mean, if an historian wanted to come by and nitpick, they'd have a much bigger bone with Mr. Freberg, y'know? ;~)
The soundtrack to this video was one of my favorites to listen to with my brothers and sisters when I was a teenager, and it's still just as funny. The full LP has so many gems. So full of catchy little hooks that you find yourself repeating to each other.
33 sec. in.......stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni.........dandy! where did you get the old pic's?.....ok see ya at the library..............lol
Kinda' had to add that feather, haha. Just did a lot of Google Image searching. A library? Oh!, you mean that building we had to walk around to get from metal shop to football practice. They got pictures and stuff in there?

@ezekieloak Actually, "You tell 'im, Bix", as in Bix Beiderbeck, to keep with the historical jazz reference.
