Which is why L took Misa into custody under suspicion of being the second kira. And, where did you hear that Light ever slept with Misa?! He could barely tolerate her, why would he want to become intimate with her? It is true that L surveilenced Misa with rags on, but he did the same to Light.

If you're going by the manga, L never considered Light his friend, anyway; he just continually lied throughout the series to basically everyone in order to test people (just read the interviews by the author). IT REALLY WAS ALL LIES! D:
Well, that's really character interpretation, honestly. I don't believe that the creators saying that in an outside interview qualifies, you have to be able to see it in the series. Some people can and some can't. But yeah, once you put your work out their, it's communal and up for interpretation.
Also, this is based on the anime, since it's an AMV. =P And anime!L does think of Light as his friend, sadly.
Yeah, I myself don't really like to count the interviews as 100% pure canon (since I dislike them, and the author's flippant attitude towards the series/characters in general). Sadly, though, what Ohba said about her/his characters always lingers in the back of my mind, bugging the crap out of me. XD Make it go awaaayyy. . . .
