This is a really good video. It was a bit slow to get going, but when it did, oh my, I had tears running down my face. Well done!
I had heard about him, but only regarding the Turing Test. I did not know what my country did to him just because of his sexuality. It is sickening. They would rather kill (for that is effectively what they did) an extremely intelligent man who is contributing to the war effort than have a gay man on the streets. I am so ashamed that my country did this.
What a lovely tribute to a great (mostly) unsung gay hero. A man who was a hero on so many levels. We need our heroes. (And yes, for what it is worth, I had heard of Mr. Turing long ago.)
I've learned alot about Sir Alan Turing (I know he was never knighted but still a sir IMO). I actuallu owe a HUGE amount to him. My grandmother fleed here during WWII from Israel. He probably saved her life. I love gadgets and technology. And I too am gay. If he were around today I think we'd get on rather well!
@rafaravioli Thank you so much. I'm afraid it wasn't, however, it was based on 12 letters, all written by Young People aged between 10 and 14, who had been asked to write a letter to Alan as if he were still alive, after they had learned all about him. So in essence, it was written by Young People, just not Clive. :) Thank you for watching.
One of my genial heroes Turing - in years to come hopefully he'll be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Einstein etc.. Great vid, take care, Vash Gringo.
Brilliant documentary/short film on Alan Turing. Well done Pink Triangle Theatre x. Next film you should get other people involved :). See you all soon. From Stephen R
I still have no sound on my pc but from the odd bits on the side he obviously was either inventor of the pc or the web pages we can access, he was obviously a mathmetician.
