I use an ipod touch for backup ONLY, if both my Macs, and CD's go bad (they never will) I use it, but it is still on a controlled fader, but these morons probably have that Ipod mixer, and they cant control anything. They should be embarrassed, and if it was my production, they would have been fired! Sorry, but you just CAN NOT do this at a wedding.

At my own wedding a few years ago I used my Long Play Mini Disc Deck. I spent days selecting the tracks and copying the CDs on to the two five hour long play mini disc cassettes. All I then had to do was set an alarm for 19:00 to make sure I swapped Discs! lol

Number One all I have to say to that is... "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAYFOR!!!" I'm a mobile DJ and do any where from 75-85 wedding receptions a year! I sit down before the wedding date and create a play list just for the event!!! So every song is and approved song! That way I don't have to worry about a WOOPS!!! I dj with a laptop & use CD's a a back up. iPods have not yet proven themselfs to me for DJing.. Case & point.

I agree with you all points. I do as many wedding and use the Numark iPod 2. Love the system and never had a problem using the iPod (new model 120g) also have three backup of course. CD player, notebook with OtsDj, and an ex. 500 gig hard drive. But I love the iPod!

That's why you hire a pro dj not some one using just a IPOD to dj with..... I use a laptop to dj with along with CD's as my back up and create a songlist JUST FOR THE WEDDING!!! so I don't have to worry about something like that slipping in... Just remember..... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!

It's obvious this DJ is not a professional and is simply playing songs off a laptop - that would never have happened if he had a pro setup which includes a professional, two or more channel mixer. That prevents songs cutting out and the next one starting up like iTunes does.

And no encore - it's more like 90% - :-)
