I love this song. I'm a huge 65dos fan and after hearing this I was blown away. I tried looking for some CTTS as I thought they might be awesome too, Unfortunately after a few tries (and I really did try) I found them pretty unlistenable. I would be open to hearing more vocals like these in a Post-Rock context in future though, 'cos in this song they kick ass.

it is quite hard to be original with drumming unless you are very proficient just because everything standard has been done already so the only way to truly be original is to mess with time signatures and the different uses of hands, feet, sticks etc. which is all very difficult is you wanna hear very original drumming though check out mutemath there not that great of a band but the drumming is phenomenal.
