Some things were hurting him getting over with the audience when this was filmed. One is his look. The only black colors, and no hair or facial hair. Should at least have a goatee. The red trunks he sometimes had on looked better, as too much black made his skin seem more pale. Should have tanned more. Then inbetween power moves, when opponent is down, should play to the audience more, flex his muscles. He's a villain, they are supposed to show off more between moves.

As far as his story went, they should have kept it more to his real story. He did not just get out of Prison, he had been out since early 1994, and won the Powerlifting Championship of Australia in 1995, and won 4 international strongman events from 94 thru 96, then became a bodyguard, and started Pro Wrestling on the side. Much better story than "he just got out of prison and is crazy".

@tubaSHANK Right, scrawny would not be the word to describe him at that point. "Down in weight" sure. When he wrestled Disco Inferno in WWA Jones was only about 290-300 pounds. When he got over to WWE he was not as massive at first either. Then they sent him to OVW and he gained like 50 pounds of muscle there. The team Lesnar stuff is after he got back to WWE, hence why he is so much more massive in this video. Also was right after his scene in TROY was filmed.

And they mention his crimes and his time in prison saying how he ripped the door off etc... Unfortuantly when the WWE got to Australia Jones quit because he couldn't handle the non stop schedule and as you can see he's now involved in Movies, if you weren't aware, look up the Tony Jaa vs Nathan Jones fight and the Jet Li Vs Nathan Jones.
