Well, I have switched to B60 plane now, so no FMC, no GPS - real VFR (and rarely IFR) flying with charts and road maps ;-) I don't even use AP to often. Now its more like flying than programming an FMC which simply executes the route :)

And of course I do all flying online on vatsim. So you don't really need FMC. The new FSInn (virtual client software) works very good with FSX on a networked PC, even on windows 7.

but dont you have to fly real routes? Well I guess unless your VFR. I dont know the coverage is iffy on vatsim sometimes. Im excited but mixed . Hopefully ill get to try it sooner or later.

ah not so good. Im only gonna do it if I have an fmc and can plan real trips cause I would have to but maybe by next summer now? I guess all in good time on that. It sounds pretty fun though.
