  • M. trumani was the most similar to true cheetahs in morphology. Living on the prairies and plains of western America, it was likely a predator of hoofed plains animals such as the pronghorn. In fact, predation by Miracinonyx is thought to be the reason that pronghorns evolved to run so swiftly, their 60 mph top speed being much more than needed to outrun extant American predators such as cougars and gray wolves. For more on evolution try Dawkins, ' The ancestors tale'& Daniel Dennett,'D.d.I'

  • I cant believe we have ANTELOPE in Arizona... I think most people have this idea of the Southwest as just cattle skulls and sand, but theres more biodiversity here than in most forests

  • @Stillwater900 Well, not exacly. A Pronghorn is mistakenly called an antelope by most people because they are not antelopes. A pronghorn is more closely related to Giraffe and Okapi. Just saying.

  • people need to put more effort into saving these animals, they are so beautiful

i love how they evolved to outrun the american cheetah, i hope people try and re introduce cheetahs to north america

  • Nice job. Fences and ranchettes are a leading cause of habitat interruption. Coyotes, javalina, antelope and many other animals need to be able to get around freely so they can find food and thrive. Thanks for making this video.

  • great video. and i wont say exactly where i live for the fear of hunters, i can say we live about a mile in off the 83 and we have a family of pronghorn living on the front of our property, mom, dad and two babies. but every night around midnight there are at least 10 antelope and maybe even more deer grazing on our property, its quite a site
