  • ''Bring on the darkness, bring on the gloom.

We are the army of death and gloom.''

For all of you wondering what the choir from 2:45 says.

  • Is Gary Oldman actually singing in this movie? He's all redy played a beethoven-obsessed cop and a COOL (not to mention dropdead-gorgous) peacock, so why not sing...

  • i like how his eyebrows seem to have a mind of ther own n bounce up n down

  • I know I commented... a month ago, in the thing below. But i'd like to say, Gary Oldman's line delivery at around 3:13 or 3:14 is total villainous awesomeness.

  • this version of the song is better than the video bcuz u can hear the evil music more haha but the only bad part is U CANT SEE HIS PIMPIN FLY DANCE MOVES HAHAH

  • needs more ponies don't you think? >:P

  • And that, kiddies, is what happens when Commissioner Gordon goes evil and starts singing.

  • Thanks for uploading this, I need to use this song for something but I need a version that doesn't have that chicken squarking for half the song :D

  • This is one of my favourite movie soundtracks. SO GOOD.

  • There is another version of this song. His laugh at the end sounds like he's choking on a roll.

  • It's better without having to watch the ridiculous dance moves. Although I wish Gary had gotten to sing more instead of just talk. Since he CAN actually sing.

  • @Nessquick2458 - The music video for this is a bit silly. I rather like the song though. So dramatic. And Gary Oldman-esque. C;

  • It's better without the video but the song still doesn't match

  • @153ace what u mean?

  • no cheesy slapstick sound effects when he throws stuff into the water is a plus.

  • Is it wrong that this was my favorite song in the movie?

  • SILEEEEEENCE !

  • Reminds me of Obama ^-^

  • We are the darkness, we are the gloom. We are the army of glory and doom.

I have a feeling those golems/constructs/warforged/henchmen could have been infinitely cooler. This movie should be redone in a much darker style.

  • @ViewingNeutral I'll call Tim Burton up. o__o;

  • Ruber reminds me of a grown up Stewie...XD Arthur is Louis!!

    Great song though!

  • WOOOO!!!! good crumping music!!! XD

  • I have a plan, IT INCLUDES YOU!

    best part.

  • "Now...this chicken...CAN KILL!"

    ....

Uh...strangest "Villain Song" lyrics ever? (Though there is plenty of 'strange' to be found in this song)

  • Oh i love Gary Oldmans voice <3 it sounds evil =P <3

  • ima do a video of me singing it ;)

  • 1:56

He sounds like he's naming a pokemon of which had just evolved. Could this be where all the English Pokemon names came from?

  • @Cynthia149 yes it did.

  • Ruber has over 9000 men now!

  • This is such an underrated movie.

  • I hear mechanical noises and clanking in the background...

  • WE ARE THE DARKNESS! <3 love it

  • "now watch me create MY MECHANICAL ARMYY!!!" (geth) :)

  • Actually considerably badass. o_o

  • I should totally do a video of myself singing this song. XD

  • this song is not bad

  • best version of the song ever.

  • wow!!!

  • What if Zorg from "The Fifth Element" sing this song...?

  • Phycotic, crazy, and twitchy, but beyond that, beyond awsome.

  • from the begining to 0:55 is my favourite part

  • 3:34-3:39 sounds like he can spit on u at any moment

  • i love this villain because hes ruthless, hes strong and hes murderous, with the simple goal to become king andable to KILL A DRAGON WITH HIS BEAR HANDS.

if only he didnt sing he would have made it to the top 20 villains list.

  • @owain2222

Plus, I like his design. It reminds me of a Gerald Scarfe caricature. And yeah, killing a dragon with his bare hands is friggin' badass.

  • @owain2222 And damn right Crazy!

  • jesus:o

who knew a villain song sung by oldman could make mee shit myself...with absolute fear

  • thank you for uploading this I've been looking for these songs

  • "Year One"?

Is a crappy movie mentioning another crappy movie?

  • I can't get past trying to rhyme "bother" with "Arthur."

  • Evil.... :O

  • I actually think this version sounds significantly better than the version they used in the film. The music is more dramatic and Oldman has a lot more passion in his voice, plus you don't have to look at the ridiculous dance moves.

  • I agree, but what I feel that sucks away some of that is the chicken part. I don't know his tone changes and that lyric just sounds silly.

  • @Ichenmeis

the hammy dance moves really downgrade the song.

  • @Ichenmeis But the ridiculous dance moves are hilarious D: I always keel over laughing when I see them! They're the best part of the song other than the singing. XDD

  • @Ichenmeis Yeah i actually liked the greek version of the song in the movie cause it sounded more like a song

  • @Ichenmeis and there aren't chickens squarking for half the song xD

  • No offense to anyone, I really mean NO OFFENSE

    But this song sucks balls

  • Thank you so much! I've been looking for this song everywhere!

  • thankyouuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!

  • Oh my God! Thank you so much for putting this up here!!
