and what really is annoying is this damn tire sqealing, there's no iRacing video on the net where you don't have this damn tire squealing in any fucking turn or corner
but in iRacing it is pretty much exaggerated, cause if you hear it that loud, your tires wouldnt last too long, the setup must be pretty bad. Furthermore most of the time it would not be loud enough to drown out the engine sound, so this is not really very realistic
At least driving Late Models in an oval, the tire squeal is the same than in real life. I wish I could find a COT test run on a small oval, but the in-car cam had real sounds (not the muffled TV ones) and tires were squealing as much as in iRacing.
no hands on the wheel kinda erks me, but if i get an invite then I'm signin up, or i'll just try it for a month and see what it's like when the general launch happens at the end of this summer.
This may look better than rFactor but that's no excuse for a monthly subscription and to buy cars and tracks seperately. Actually, that's bullsh-- for any game.
I ve tried to reason with people like this before, but all I can say, is get a fing job, and if u have one, then there is NO REASON the fee would be a problem...
Simple, as with anything else the price is is 100% absolutely and completley defined by the number of users. Not only this, but they need to compete with similar existing products which actually start at abut $20.
YouTube seems to be doing this to all videos lately. I'm posting videos using the same high quality resolution I always have, but now they show up as crap.
shifting FX sucks! but good race simulator!

That's how it goes in real racing. If you're not pushing your tires to the point of squealing, you're not going fast enough.

You pay a grand for photoshop, $5k for 3d rendering software, why would you expect a highly detailed simulation of racing physics to cost $50?
onewheel81 3 years ago
Thanks to you, I'm thinking about making a video response to this video. I would have posted it here but Youtube doesn't give me ENOUGH SPACE!!

you are welcome, numb nutz...

I liked graphics, but the physics looks very similar to RFactor. I missed hands on wheel as well.
jorgeabujamra 3 years ago
I assure you they are nothing like rFactor. rFactor can't touch this...

Too bad about the poor quality of this video because, the graphics in iRacing are out of this world. Trust me.
Man, I hate the corkscrew (or what I call "the Dukes of Hazzard turn" at Laguna Seca.

Meh @ the corkscrew, try Eau Rouge at Spa and tell me that it's not scarier than the corkscrew.
