um... I'm not sure if my guess is right.

what I think is, maybe the letter is written by the boy's aunt. In the previous scene, in which Jessica went to the boy's house, his aunt looked like unwelcome to Jessica. Maybe she knew about how the boy got hurt when Jessica told to the boy she wanted to break up then left. (3:31) So her aunt writes the letter behind the photo, to take a message to Jessica: Please go back(to the boy)! That's just I guess. Hope it help you understand.
