What on earth is that bird trying to say? I can hardly make out anything! African Greys are the most intellegent parrots of all! They can talk like humans and understand everything they say. All this have already been proven with great biological and other scientific experiments. Congo and Timneh African Greys (CAG) (TAG) fall under the category of some of most intelligent animals. They've proven this with Alex the Parrot and Einstein the talking parrot. You can't compare this bird with them.

What a beautiful bird and very understandable that you are so proud of him. It's always nice to see well adjusted parrots, especially cockatoos! I noticed one thing in your video that I wanted to share. The rope perch attached to his play gym is frayed. Frayed rope can be a hazard as birds will accidentally get their toes tangled and become trapped. This has been the cause of death of many pet parrots as they panic. Be careful to trim or replace rope perches whenever you see wear.

Not to be too subtle... but you didn't get the humor, did you? My bird is fantastically intelligent. She's learning her colors right now, can count to 4, and has pages of all sorts of commentary she uses in proper context. She even puts things together that actually make contextual sense, without being trained.

And yet, for all her intelligence, she still does the dumbest things, like falling off her perch when she's asleep, or randomly screaming at times.

Check out kskiwi's Tui, the African grey . That bird is mind blowing. I might be a bad person, but the one labeled something about a tantrum, really cracks me up. So does the Rocky Balboa one. Birds take so much work. We need to care for them and provide companionship and stimulation - don't get a bird unless you want a child that never grows up. They are costly and high maintenance, in terms of how much love they need. My bird is out each day, and if I don't spend time with her, she feels neglected. Like most animals. Birds though, are very smart.
