AHAYAH ASHAR AHAYAH!!...ehyeh is the english transliteration of Ahayah. Their are no vowels( e,o,u etc) in ancient hebrew. AHAYAH is a dynamic name "I AM" in Ex 3:14-15
Are you sure? I have come to learn that Jesus real name was Yehoshua or short Yeshua. Then I heard some say it is spelled with an A like Yahoshua or Yashua. Mostly by the sacred name movement. But I heard from experts that there is no A prenouncement in Hebrew. And that the Israëlites changed God's name from EHYEH (I AM) to AHYAH (I WILL BE) because I AM sounded too unsure. So is it spelled EHYEH ASHER OR AHYAH ASHER or both is right? Thanks.
Ofra, your voice is so sweet. I can listen to you for hours. Know that though you are not there, you still are with us. If I could hav one wish, I certainly would ask to give you life again.
Can somebody tell me why i (a half turkish/ half hungarian living in germany) feel so compelled and touched by this music!? I keep watching these old Ofra Haza clips for days now! Any Ideas where i can get these songs on Cd? Thanks!
It is not easy to find them. On website - israelhyphenmusicdotcom is currently available album "Atik noshan" (not under Ofra Haza but under Sadnat Teatron Shunat Hatikva). Some of old songs contains album " Manginat Halev" (Greatest hits vol. 2) from 2004. This shoudl be available on Amazon or Ebay.
The first time I heard of her was from the Prince of Egypt movie with her singing Moses' mother's voice. Now I can say I love her voice and singing. Such a blessing.
So I Am That I am is not the true name of God? How about Yahuwah? Or Yahweh... I know it's YHWH translated in English. The actual name of God should have been put into all English Bibles instead of LORD Or GOD... Nice voice and video..
@RicoRicanNYC Yo brotha. The tetragrammaton put that YHWH in our text so all the YHWH stuff, just trash all that. The true name of the most high is Ahayah as this beautiful sister sung it :) I recommend you go to the channel gathering144 to get more information on this subject. blessings.
@chrisdkck Yea I saw that series you talking about but I'm not sure it's correct because after the verse "I AM THAT I AM" The following verse he said so I tell them "I am" sent me? And the father said tell em "THE LORD" send you... Now "LORD" goes back to the YHWH in the original hebrew Manuscripts... I think it's Yahuwah unless you have more info on this subject besides GOC because they could be wrong, maybe ill go watch the series again, Yah bless..
@RicoRicanNYC I know in the english bible exodus 3 :13-15 he did say "I AM WHO I AM" & he did go back to "I AM" which I assume would be for short. I would say my whole Giv. name everytime I speak to someone. Now I just order the torah, & studying hebrew so I'll see what the original text says & get back to you also!!!
I've made a translation, there might well be some errors, as I'm a student, not a speaker of Hebrew: Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh 'I am who I am' Wants your people Hear my prayer In your holy dwelling place Hear, I long to live in Thy Temple To see Thy genius, strenght and majesty, Thy dignity Pity the troops Who oppose you Shorten my exile I am leaning on You Hear, I long to live in Thy Temple To see Thy genius, strenght and majesty, Thy dignity

Yemenite pronunciation usually pronounces "segol" as an a sound and qametz as an o sound which is why it is hard to recognize words

Is "Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" equivalent to the so-called Tetragrammaton?
PHANTOMSLAYER777 1 year ago
@PHANTOMSLAYER777 nope. It's the "I am who I am" (Ex3:7) part. The tetragrammatron is usually THE LORD (in small caps) or Jehovah in English Bibles.
"Ehyeh" means "I am" and "Asher" means "that/which/who/like..." (the relative pronoun)

@mourningleaves Thanks. I am an expert at this point, even did some videos. This lady is beautiful.

@asayal6 It's because of her Yemenite Hebrew dialect. Like Scottish or Jamaican English it has different pronunciation than 'normal'...
