Barack Obama has already began ruining my life. By encouraging defense budget cuts, Obama indirectly cut the F-22 program in the process. As a AFROTC cadet I have dreams of one day becoming a pilot, and the F-22 was my first preference for aircraft to fly. Now my chance of acquiring a slot in an F-22 is very slim, and probably gone. As I european I grew up admiring things about the US, but that was back when Clinton was president. Bush has truly accomplished to destroy this and I was appalled to learn that anyone could even think of voting for McCain after Bush. Among my countrymen Bush & McCain are perceived as nothing but a big joke. When Clinton visited my whole country was celebrating. Barack Obama has already began ruining my life. By encouraging defense budget cuts, Obama indirectly cut the F-22 program in the process. As a AFROTC cadet I have dreams of one day becoming a pilot, and the F-22 was my first preference for aircraft to fly. Now my chance of acquiring a slot in an F-22 is very slim, and probably gone. As I european I grew up admiring things about the US, but that was back when Clinton was president. Bush has truly accomplished to destroy this and I was appalled to learn that anyone could even think of voting for McCain after Bush. Among my countrymen Bush & McCain are perceived as nothing but a big joke. When Clinton visited my whole country was celebrating. When Bush visited there was demonstrations and the vast majority just wanted him to get out of the country as quickly as possible.

I suppose on the same grounds that one could argue that a certain JFK came to power through mob ties yet still did some great things for this country. It may be simply a choice between the lesser of two evils as it always is, but Obama's platform represents a far lesser evil than any American has had option to vote for in this tragically limited two party system. In my opinion. I don't care if he's hollow or filled with nougat.

As far as options presented in the past 8 years. You may have seen some better candidates make it this far. But I would prefer a Mob man to an oil man at this point, and if the man delivers on half his promises he can appoint jimmy hoffa himself to the cabinet. Would be better than Cheney.
