hes running a laptop with a modified USB came controller hooked up to some push buttons you can get at like radioshack. all he did was undo the screws on the hinge of laptop flip it back and secured it. and its called an emulator. a program that allows you to play old games on your computer via rom dumps

easy mod to do, video output on a GB (probably GBA) glued to the back of a big piece of cardboard. gutted LCD display hooked up to GBA output with a hole in the cardboard. Buttons can be done by soldering the push connects to microswitches and placed underneath the cardboard buttons. Total Cost? less than 200 dollars.
