Think his support is because the war in Iraq was a disaster, and everyone knew it beforehand. On a personal level, there are many people who are critical of him, but he's one of the few politicians who had the balls to speak out against the war. If you want to put this down to a few catchphrases then explain it that way if you like, but I don't think he's got as many as the pro-war lobby - "axis of evil", "shoulder to shoulder" etc. As for him being a traitor, get a grip.
