Ah I remember this from a interview, the group went to America and heard this on the radio. Needless to say they changed their American agent as soon as they heard the bad edit, this ruined Queen's early chances of breaking into America

It's rushed, and you miss the subtle into, without the intro you don't realize the power right before the lyrics start. There's no time to wind down after all that power that you are listening to.
I think the real Queen history began with their second album. The first one was still searching their style. But it contained many good songs like this.
