A very thoughtful talk, & much I agree with, particularly the lack of concern for Africans. However, I don't understand the following: On one hand complaints about Nile Perch eating smaller fish, which once controlled bilharzia-transmitting snails, then worries about "over fishing" of Perch. Surely this foreign, alien & very carniverous monster-fish should be fished to extinction, and quickly? Once the watu thrived fishing for cichlid fish, very rare now, & they can't afford Perch.
You could make it clear that this clip is from a documentary called; 'DARWINS NIGHTMARE' made by Austrian director, Hubert Sauper - and it must be seen in full to see the unbelievable tragedy that has destroyed half a country.
Europe has a lot to answer for their complicity in the horror that has killed thousands of people and brought great suffering.
Please credit the director: Hubert Sauper
Hubert Sauper is a great friend to Africa and your clip would not exist without him.
Join me and together we can rule the galaxy. Did u know that last year more than half the humpback whales that were killed by Japanese arsehole Jap whaling boats were pregnant mothers!!!!!!! Dont tell me i had no right in murdering those butchering crew on those fuken whaling boats. Dont tell me did i have a conscious when i killed those rich bastards who live from the riches of the earth but desicrate and murder countless animals. I enjoyed the revenge
By the way im from Tanzania and i have a video of my vacation back in Tanzania, go take a look at the pictures and your comments basically contradict themselves. yes some people do live in poverty but the way you presented your so called facts are utterly stupid and more ignorant that educational .
dont believe all you read, go to tanzania and see how it is for youself idiot , tanzania an arm supplier hahaha tribal wars that ended in 2003 wow u speak of so many lies man
so you're saying everything is fine? all these problems are blown way out of proportion? i find that hard to believe. it's probably exaggerated to some extent, but the problems do exist and aren't being addressed
there are problems yeah i do agree, but dude i was born and raised in this country and i can tell you from living experiences that shit like this doesnt happen. the poverty is a problem, in a tanzania and most of the third world countries but so much progress has come our way and the things depicted on the documentary are mostly biased leftwing propaganda , mind u this is a documentary and it is sold, so there is money to be made
tanzania was never a gun suplier, but a great distributor because of the nile perch industry. planes that take the fish from tanzania are supposed to come empty, but instead they have fire arms and amunitions for the cultural war that was happening in the central part of affrica.
if we keep on closing our eyes and not be at least informed about this industry it's like ignoring that millions of affrican people have died because of this, go watch the documentary and you'll see for yourself..
little wing, my uncle is the chief commander of the tanzanian police, and my family knows alot of the political figures in the country. i can tell u one thing , tanzania has corruption and in therecent years has been tackled hard by the current president Jakaya Kikwete. The arms dealing issue if sort are things that i have never heard of, i would like to see things first hand before i use videos creating through the minds of others. i suggest go to tanzania and see for your self,
I'm sure you come from familly with big influence in Tanzania, but sometimes it's that same power and protection that makes you close your eyes from seing things that makes your world a bit less perfect. I come from a modest background and I think that Tanzania is a great nation, specially now that the tribal wars in central Africa are over. But let's not say that there's no blood in Tanzanias hands, because by the end of the day, the tribal wars made more victims than the more mediatised 9/11.
mhh i dont get this, because there arent such wars in Tanzania. i don't get what you are talking about because Africa is big. Tanzania hasn't had any war since we kicked idi amain out of Tanzania. you should seriously get your facts right and not just talk shit so as to get response on youtube.
the arms and amunitions aren't for the Tanzanian territory, but because of the industry of fish export, planes of ex soviet union (which are supposed to be empty) transports fire arms and amunitions for wars at congo or rwanda back at the late 1990's until 2003. Then they go back from Tanzania with nile perch. Maybe watch the documentary and see what you think.
Congo and Rwanda are located on the central part of africa and western of Tanzania. Where do these weapons come from, why would the countries go to such problems when kenya has a bigger port than tanzania, there are many other sources that could transfer weapons to congo such as sudan and other countries that are already engaging in war, why would they take a detour to tanzania and risk losing money through transportation costs that can easily be avoided, do u get what i am saying
These weapons come from european countries, mostly AK-47 rifles that are made in ex-soviet countries. They use the Tanzanian airport to make a double sided bussiness so that they can leave with the nile pearch (imported to Europe), making double profit. The danger being victims made these planes transit to tanzania rather than going directly to Congo or Rwanda region, casualties cost more than transportation, logic!
Maybe I don't get what you say, but do you consider watching the documentary?
nice one man. most people have never even heard of the congo wars.
But its worth noting that Tanzania played no part in these conflicts and has in fact had only one war... when Idi Amin invaded the north. Tanzania removed him from power not long after.
Whereas the Rwandan RPF post-genocide Govt that is so widely respected has had forces in Congo for years and is often alleged to be stealing Congolese resources under the pretext of hunting Hutu genocidaires.
great comment really, and keen insight on the documentary and the situation. it's a pity that such a good comment has been done to such a devastating situation.
