Dear Explore Talent,  Um hi I kind of dont know how to start this off but Im 17 and I really want to become an actress because acting really is my passion and its the only thing that I can really see myself doing as a career. Guys don't take this shit seriously, believe me it's a scam. Any talent agency that asks for money is BS. When I was living in Miami, they had a casting call for anyone.. as soon as they started talking about "comp cards" & money I was out of there.

with explore talent the company is your agent. they really don't cost much although they are a little more than I've found most companies to be. I'm in the process of signing up now.

they are free but it is a long way depending on where you live and also they get usually 10% of your pay when you are booked by them and get the part then manager get 15% but they do notbook you they lead your career and you see them usually everyday/ hoped i helped thanks

you dont pay a cent to agents. only when you book a job do you actually pay them and its a small percentage. if you have to pay before hand its a scam.

@AceFallen Heh, sometimes you have to pay for services. Say an online resume, or courses. AND you need to pay for photoshoots. Gets very expensive. BG actors just need a simple head shot though. Of course you don't need to take them. If its forced on you. Then yah its a scam. But really they are just trying to help. Also you need to pay to send auditions. Travel for auditions, and all that stuff.

It can get expensive.

@AceFallen Actually YES you have to pay the agents. I've been in a casting agency I had to pay 350$ for a year and I had my photo shoot, and the agent calls producers and talk about me to them, and then they take a look at my resume and if they're interested they tell her to call me to get an audition or whatever. Agents who don't ask to get paid is impossible because it's their job and they have to get money if I don't get in any movies, tv-shows etc... and usually they get max 10% of your pay.
