When I was there in 1995 there was a black marble walkway around the Perisphere where images of the 1939 NY Worlds Fair were engraved into the marble and people were skating over it. The 1939 RCA TRK-12 Television set was engraved as a picture for example from the Worlds Fair. Is that all gone now or is still there?
There's a lake there? Never knew that. NYC has better parks than Nassau for sure. Esp when you include Staten Island. As far as the planes, many areas in Nassau are subject to the same amount of jet drone. Planes to JFK seem to love to fly right over my town, making for constant jet whine at times. Never was afraid of that park, I dont know why anyone would be. Now Hempstead Lake state park OTOH could be dicey.

@BJSTV The Perisphere has not been there since about 1940; I think you mean the Unisphere.

Great video. I haven't been to Flushing Meadows, Corona Park since 1964, when I attended the NY World's Fair with my parents.
