  • Nice throw and catch by Navarre and Bellamy right before the 4-minute mark!

  • i remember that stiff hand by marquese walker. it made illinois players look like amatures.

  • Go Blue

  • I was at that game. --sweet

  • lol cheap shot by the kicker.

  • that was an amazing catch by Bellamy late in the 2nd qtr

  • Another vid of Michigan ruining an undefeated team's season:

    '93, '95, and '96 Ohio State

    '01 Illinois

    '97 and '05 Penn State

That Illinois team was pretty good in '01 with Kittner, Brandon Lloyd, Walter Young, and Eugene Wilson. Then again, you can make a case that Illinois won the Big 10 in '01 and had such a good record that year due to the Big 10 being down in 2000 and 2001.

  • Wisconsin 2006

  • @RonnieLott42USC I'm glad Michigan beat us, because it saved us from getting humiliated by Miami in the National Championship

  • i think we're gonna need to be real crafty this year to have any success.

  • we had soo many trickeration plays that year cuz of gonzalez..

  • This game was a major surprise seeing that Carr actually used TWO trick plays on the same drive.

They woke up our offense who couldn't get ANYTHING going the first several minutes of the game. After that drive, they were unstoppable.

  • Ahhhhhh yes, the most grand entrance in all of sports, the Go Blue Banner at the 50-yard line, Band is playin Hail To The Victors (perhaps the greatest fight song ever), the crowd is singin with the band, the most famous helmets in football (winged helmets), all-time winning program, and the players all run out and touch the banner! It doesn't get much better than that!

    GO BLUE!

  • I thought Todd Howard was dead after that facemask.

  • That was an awful game. The trick plays broke our back.

Looking forward to the game this year though.

  • dominating performance

I don't even remember walter cross but hey he threw for a touchdown and ran for one. Why was he so low on the depth-chart?

O and Jermaine Gonzales would have fit perfectly in this offense now

  • Walter Cross was a highly-regarded recruit that came in '98 following Michigan's national championship season. Of course, that recruiting class was loaded and he never emerged from the depth chart.

  • At around 8 min they're talking about someone or something from Canada. Could you tell me what they were talking about.

  • John Saunders had just given a score update between the Padres and the Giants and mentioned that Barry Bonds had just hit homerun #69. Saunders mentioned that Bonds gets his bats from Ottawa to which Mike Tirico mentioned something about maple wood from Canada being good for bats or something.

  • Thanks. I got excited cause i thought they might have been talking about a Michigan player that from from Canada. I happen to be from Ottawa.

  • Fuck Yeah Go Blue!!!!!!!!!1

  • We were the only team in the regular season to beat Illinois in 2001. The Illini won the Big Ten outright that year and made it to the Sugar Bowl. They would ahve been in the BCS Title game if not for this thrashing at the Big House. We put on our best performance of the season in this game. Go Blue!

  • Like they would have stayed close with Miami.

  • Yeah, Miami would ahve killed them. I'm just saying that we blewout a really good illini team in this game. I expected Illinois to beat Michigan, and the Wolverines came out and played their ebst game of the 2001 season

  • @Poole1Dan If Miami came to Ann Arbor, how bad would they beat Michigan?
