Your video was very helpful. I am shooting my first wedding in a couple of months and am looking for good ideas like the type of pack you were using. Looks like something I will try and pick up.
i use canon system and only have 2 canon flashes wich are compatible with my two digital canon cameras (580exII and 430exII) (the ettl mode (nikon´s ITTL or cls or whatever) the other 4 flashes that i have are one old school 285hv vivitar an canon 430ez a canon 540ez and an sb 25 (also the reason why i watched this video ;D)
I use off camera flash a lot... and also of course in manual and (with radio triggers too)
The main reason I use SB-26's and SB-80DX's is because they have two crucial features: full manual control (the 26 goes down to 1/64, and the 80 goes down to 1/128) and built-in optical slave/triggers.
So if you're looking to do fancier Nikon CLS-type shooting, I'd suggest an SB-800 or 900 (to use on your camera), and then you can use your 600 as a second flash.
If you're shooting manually (like I do), pretty much any flash will work.
It's a Lastolite Ezybox hotshoe. Why don't YouTuber's put in all details of what they show and what song is playing if there is music so people don't have to comment and ask.
i'm really interested in buying the Tamron 28-75 2.8...correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it actually a little stronger on a cropped sensor camera? or is it made for the cropped sensor?
Nice Vid... i love the softbox... and theres nothing wrong with Tamron Glass... It may not be preferred by most photographers... but u have to take into consideration its about the photographer's keen senses and not just all about the gear...

Your taking peoples money shooting a wedding with Tamrons? Sorry if I offend you but I wouldnt think of ever charging someone shooting with that glass. The 50mm 1.8 is a given, but is a toy.
Can you link me to your portfolio so I can be proven wrong....
funny, because you packed almost the identical bag that I've been carrying around. One difference: I didn't realize I could crunch my softbox down so much. And I have the D300, the D50 and 2 SB800s. Otherwise, identical pack jobs.

Does that Sb-26 work well with the D90?
I just purchased the sb-600 from best buy and I am looking for a second flash

I could not agree more! Thanks, Speck!

I got it on ebay.
It's collapsible, and measures about 16" square. Shouldn't cost more than $75 or so.

yay, my first hater!
I'd love to see some examples of what's wrong with Tamron glass, if you've got any.
Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't seem to allow URLs in comments. But you can message me directly, if you want to see some of my work.
I'd be curious to see if you can tell which shots were made with Tamron vs. Nikon/Nikkor.
I'm not a wedding shooter, by the way; this was just a favor for a friend.

nothing is wrong with tamron, their lenses tend to be a little less sharp than nikkors, but thats ok

What's wrong with shooting a wedding with a third party lens? It's still a good lens..

Well hey...less money spent on glass means more profits!

Nice setup, something I may need to mimic, which some minor changes (mainly my D200 instead of the D90) =)
