@BlackWinter619 To easily win the rapid-triggering, just rub your thumb across all 4 face buttons, each button input counts as 1 press. This is a much higher rate of inputs compared with pressing 2 buttons.
@lataaja Another God Hand won't ever happen. The team behind it no longer exist as a single entity, plus who would buy it? Games these days are barely anything more than movies. All action games on the market now have combat systems 10 years dated compared to God Hand, VJ, DMC3 or Bayonetta yet nobody cares.
It could be created with a different team, though how "True" to the first would obviously be a matter of question.
Godhand itself couldn't directly compete with even DMC when that came out, but the charm of godhand lies in the "Story" and presentation. The quirkyness of the game and the ability to slap together your own combos gives it a few good things to bring to the table.
But if they did make a sequel(unlikely), whose to say they couldn't model the action off DMC or bayonetta?
@kriegjaeger I cannot agree with that. The pull of God Hand for me has nothing to do with it's story or presentation. What I find amazing about God Hand is that you have a completely customisable main character, with a huge amount of possible technique combinations and a system which allows you to manipulate the animation - the better you get, the harder you push against things restricting you before completely breaking though.
@Saur What I hate most of all about games now is all this nonsense about "Story" and "Presentation" being seen as important aspects instead of what they actually are - nothing but a container. Games like God Hand in which the simple act of playing it is an absolute joy are far more entertaining than the barely interactive movies players seem to expect these days. The cutscenes in God Hand are extremely funny, but they're nothing but a little container to add some context.
@Saur These cutscenes, while very entertaining - are nothing but a little bit of icing. The cake itself is the amazing play mechanics, and I feel very strongly that the only developer who can pull something like this off again is Platinum - but even if they did, the game wouldn't sell. Games now are far more to do with box ticking for a fickle audience, anything which dares to be clever is always doomed to failure.
It's all down to the way you can hit 'any' face button during those sections. I scratch my fingers across all 4 face buttons, you're guaranteed to win this way.
no, tons of practice, determination, perserverance and patience. That's what i did, i actually enjoyed it too much while playing on the hardest difficulty that i kept coming back for more, spent 4 months perfecting everything in the game, lol even beating that bouncer guy with no damage haha lol.
Moves I know showcased: Piyohand aka. Chain Yanker (I prefer Piyohand), Palm smash, Yes Man Kablaam (Tension Builder) and Pummel (Pummel is instantly learned, and can be used on some bosses and some big guys/demons.)
I only know the Japanese names for the moves I'm afraid - it's 'Piyohand' in Japanese. This move you find in a pit area (with two women stepping on a 3rd) before you fight the Trio of bosses for the first time.
Normal mode had to fall! - It's taken me far too long to play through. Hard Mode (currently playing) is where I'm learning full routines for the bosses.
It's so satisfying watching Azel lose his pace after getting hit with the barrels.

It is called "fist of justice" in the American release.

no its palm smash
mrfortune455 5 years ago
You're both wrong. The attack he spams after unleashing the God Hand is called Palm Smash. He's talking about the Roulette move Chain Yanker.

nah - it's because all the pad's face buttons count as 1 push, use all the face buttons when you rapidly tap for the win!

how to increase life span & powers?
sirihpinang 5 years ago
You can buy more life and Tension Power from the shop between levels. The food and drinks you buy in the shop will increase the capacity.
Saur 5 years ago
Aww comeon man use another move =p I know its really strong but the point of this fight is to dodge his attacks and counter =p, nice video.
