hey fuck you dio isnt gay his music is legendary i love ozzy to but dio made some very kick ass music how dare you say shit about dio go back to your ozzy albums if you dont like dio and go the fuck away
i disagree 1dasomen, sure ozzy did paranoid better but dio on different live versions of paranoid are better, dio sabbath album live evil he did the ozzy era songs great especially nib, dio and gillan with sabbath are as great with the ozzy era of sabbath, glenn hughes is good with tony solo but he isnt sabbath and i think martin is a wannabe dio which pisses me off, he has a good voice just not sabbath and a downgraded version of dio, dio is millions and infinity times better then martin
Well, each our own opinnions, no? Honestly, I think there's no Sabbath without Ozzy in the bunch....if they were all there...that'd be even better. I heard that Bill Ward quit Sabbath and has his own group called Ward One or something...wonder how it's going.
Different eras in Sabbath were great. Don't misunderstand me :) I should of worded it differently, I guess, but what I'm saying is I prefer the Ozzy era. I realize i sounded like a twit in my first respond to Blacksabbathisgod. They covering original Sabbath son is alright. After more listeing my opinnion changed some. And as for Tony Martin...mmmmm...haven't listened much to that one.
im pretty sure he was talkin about Heavy Metal (the animated) cuz he said the 'original' heavy metal movie and the second one i believe had just came out or was being worked on at the time of this interview. therefore the original reference
Dio kicks ass, but Ozzy era songs are waisting of talent this man gots, cause most of the songs dont have any good melodies, cause Ozzy used "to just follow the riff, but instead Dio shows what his got", like Iommi has said. But songs from Dios era are better. Ioomi, Dio and Butler are all great composers, and they could come out of their "creave shelves" when RJD stepped in.
The movie was called 'Heavy Metal- A Head Bangers Story'! And was a documentary on ALL genres of the heavy metal scene from how it started to todays black metal. It was quite good.
Actually, the movie is called Heavy Metal and it is an animated (cartoon) feature with an incredible soundtrack. Sabbath's track being the best of course. ;)
@davidleewilson Magica from Dio is simply Georgeous. Ronnie is absolutley correct when he said that he can't hear anyone else play on this album other than the great Craig Goldy. Everytime i would see him play live with Dio i feel so comfortable because he just fit in the Dio band perfectly. The Sacred Heart tour from 1985 to late 1986 i think was the best perfect line-up ever. RIP Dio and keep rocking Craig
Are you talking about the albums with Sabbath???Are you an idiot?Heaven n Hell is one off the top albums on the history...Perfect 10 for all song. The man is a legeng and you are ignorant...Go learn some music history and stop playing with your dick all day long..
I love OZZ but Dio will always be my favorite Sabbath Frontman Ian Gillian of Deep Purple kicked ass on Born Again too. "Disturbing the Priest" is one of my favorite Sab songs.
I can't agree with "Strange Highways" or "Angry Machines" being some major departure from what Dio normally does. If anything "Strange Highways" was one of Dio's best albums. "Hollywood Black" anybody?
Wow, it gets to the point that I thought I was alone as a fan with DIO. He still don't get the attention he should receive.

Ahem..not really. Listening to Dio singing Paranoid was just painfull. And other songs. Not a fan of Sabbath with Dio, nor Gillan.

What about the best Sabbath singer: Tony Martin? All eras are great but that one is my paticular favorite.

@davidleewilson Heavy Metal was an animated movie. It was *not* a cartoon.
The Flintstones is a cartoon.
Pinky & the Brain is a cartoon.
Scooby-Doo is a cartoon.
Heavy Metal was an animated film. Watership Down was an animated film. Princess Mononoke was an animated film. There's a difference.
