@antveticaa Well in person ill only do it once... i learned it on youtube from tim david, it was a pen vanish but i started taking videos of my self doing it with different things and at one point i was just searching my room for anything i could do it with and made this video for fun... I don't care so much that people on youtube figure out though cause theres tutorials all over youtube for it anyway, i thought i'd just show the versatility of it..
@CornOnTheCobIIV indeed i did slip up there... but i learned this on youtube, its called pen vanish but you can really do it with anything thats that shape..
also, this isnt my only vanish. all object have a different shape. this video shows that one viual vanish to do with asnything rectangular and long. then with the chapstick, (that one i know is a very effective vanish) can be done with short rectanular objects and sticks. the dice vanish shows how i would vanish a small object. the coin is one of many coin vanishes. right now i am learning to vanish round flat objects, like cds. next im learnin to vanish books and cd cases.
when you do it live its different. you wont tell them what your gonna do, they wont know what to expect, once you vanish it they'll be suprised. then you have a couple options. you can ditch the object by putting it in your sleeve, or if you have good control with your particular audience you can distract them long enough to put it in you pocket.. you can also retrieve the object, either from your pocket, your hand, or air. and you only do it once, they wont see how you did it
Have you heard the magicians rule of never doing the same trick twice?
The reason for this is because if you do a trick more than once, magicians worry that people are going to start figuring out how it's done.
After 4 or 5 vanishes I figured out how it was done. Sorry. And those were the vanishes where the object wasn't still visible.
