Someone got an idea how to pimp this bass? I wanna buy one ,because I really like the style..it's more a secondary bass *'cause I mainly use my J-Bazz for the gigs..but the style of that badtz maru bass would be awesome so I'd like try to upgrade it ;)
It has a garbage single coil guitar pickup with a black plastic casing to hide the six pole pieces... just like most of the newer Squire Broncos come with. Many people swap these out and put in dual blade EMG or Select-by-EMG guitar pickups for improved tone and punch. Also the dual blades are humbucking and can fix most of the hum problem that the stock pickup has. The Select-by-EMG work well as an upgrade and are really low in cost.
You do realize that these basses are Fendercurrent version of the Musimaster , which always had a Strat pickup. There's nothing wrong with the way they sound stock.
I agree the stock pickup sound great. However, some found that in some environments the pickup is prone to outside electromagnetic noise sources like bad lighting, bad grounding, etc., not great in many small venues. Single coil tone does have it's charm. Maybe some copper tape cavity shielding could help though.
@wfd57fatman yeah thats called 60 cycle hum from ac current try a seymore duncan strat humbucker i put a hot rails in mine and honestly sounds as good or better than a p bass sacrelige i know but worked for me
scale length is the distance from the bridge to the nut on the neck. Standard basses are 34 inches. Short scales are usually between 27-30 inches depending.
lol! I want it too. I saw it at a music store with my dad, but he said it is a bad quality bass, because on the neck, when you press down the strings, they are too far from the neck, so you have to press down harder. It was hard to exlplain, but hopefully you know what I meant...
Do you think the pickup in this needs replacing or do you think it's fine? I've heard a few people who've replaced it with a duncan hotrails. Apparently that's pretty cool as well. Cheers.
hi your bass looks good! I want a bronco bass cos I want a warrior bass on which i don´t have to worry about(i´ve got a musicman and a fender)when playing in horrible pubs and that is cheap enought, but i don´t want to sacrifice sound quality. do you recomend me the bronco bass?

he means it has bad action but that can be adjusted by the truss rod ..

or by the bridge

Your dad knows shit.
I can't believe you go by what you see and not the quality of play.
What did you go in the music store for?!
If you are only interested in the design and not the guitar go to a Claire's and get Hello Kitty Earings and leave the instruments to musicians.
Moron and moron's offspring.
