Bought a VFR 800 identical to this one in October 2011, best desision I have ever made... In my life. Even better than the time I saved a mans life... Okay maybe not better than that.
This is an almost perfect ad for the sublime VTEC. A perfect 10 if you'd moon walked to the bike. And like all you American chappies you're riding on the wrong side of the road. Thankfully all the other road users seem to be compensating magnificently and without resorting to flashing you or sounding their horns.
I am thinking about getting a vfr to augment(replace?) my current cruiser. I find myself scraping the floorboards on my cruiser all the time and I don't need the heft and the two-up capability when I'm commuting or just riding local for fun on weekends. All the same I can't give up the comfort and luggage capacity of my cruiser for an all out sportsbike. The VFR800 seems like the perfect comprimise as evinced in your video.
p.s. I don't know where you live but it looks beautiful.
I have installed the Kisan Pathblazer headlight modulators and the Kisan tailBlazer brake light modulator. Just one more layer of defence against the cagers. I use the Pathblazers only when city/suburbia riding and approaching a high risk intersection or whenever I feel there is a chance someone opposite me may not see me. The tailBlazer operates everytime I apply brakes. Lowers my heart rate when I'm not in my usual country riding environment
I just bought one of these. The guy I bought it off has aftermarket exhausts on it and i'm strongly considering on changing back to the OEMs. I think they look way nicer
Love this vid. great bike and great location ..... would love to know how you made it. Got my new Triumph Sprint St coming next month and want to try and make some good video to share.
Beautiful bike, wrong music. The V-4 makes it's own great music. If I had to have some tunes it would be Gong's Blues for Findlay or Lou Reed's New Sensation.
This is a great video.. really show what it's all about.. Great scenery, relaxing music, smile on your face when seeing the bike, no one to compete with..
Re-found this video due to the Recommended viewing. There is snow on the ground and at least a month or 2 before i can ride...feeling it hard.
I bought my 2005 red VFR without bags and even went on a trip from Alberta to Sturgis w/ soft bags.. But now that i have hard bags the only time they come of is winter(so it takes up less space).
I can even leave my helmet and jacket in the hardbags instead of carrying them around when running errands. I will never own another bike that does not have matching hardbags. I certainly have the option to take 15seconds to remove them if I just want to burn fuel.
@InvertedMike hey hey hey what are ou doing with my jacket eh??? thats mine jehege sorry but in mexico not its a common jacket and its rare for me see one on a video jehege
The hardbags are in fact the main reason why I bought a VFR. I've owned pure supersports before and am beyond being a poser with a racing bike that never sees the track anymore. A sport tourer that has true sport lineage but is remarkably comfortable and practical is what makes this machine so awesome. I go on an annual week long camping trip and get groceries in style.
good video, strange choice of music though.Bike is just amazing, set the standard for sports/tourers, and will again.... expected release of v5 1000cc VFR is summer 2010 anniversary.Cant wait :)

Are the saddle bags the Honda option ?

Very nice bike but the video would have been MUCH better without the Michael Jackson shit. Let us just listen to the engine.

Really nice professional video.
Your editing is great.
The music level is low and not intrusive
or juvenile.
Well done.
Of course having a VFR in the video is eye candy.

Nice little production, well edited, esp. the end.
It'd be interesting to know where you mounted the cameras to be so smooth.
I'm considering a VFR vs an FZ1.
Thanks!

Those who comment that the bags need to go do not understand this bike.
This is a bike you can ride across the US on.
This is a bike for those who want sport bike performance that they can ride all day.
This is not a bike where a ride is is a 2 hour jaunt through town because longer than that is uncomfortable.
This is not a bike where ride is to the local bar to look cool.
This is a true bike.
