  • but Direct TV dont have HDMI how get HDMI

  • Wait, so let me get this straight: a "Standard Definition" receiver won't allow you to view channels in HD? You need an "HD" receiver to do so?

  • @AestheticFlavor correct.

  • USA(619)534-8555 or TIJUANA (664)-129-5983

    Nextel 125*140*3426

AMERICAN DISH NETWORK/DIRECTV INSTALLED IN BAJA MEXICO

(Rosarito, Tecate, Tijuana,Esenada,Puerto nuevo, La Misión, Popotla, San Antonio del Mar, Baja Mar etc.)

    Picture

We service all major brands of satellite tv including Dish Network, Directv,FTA (Free to Air)

  • where is the antenae cable of the decoder?

  • "This is a standard high-def receiver" You fucking moron...what's the point of these horrible videos???? Who the fuck can't hook up the most basic connections?????

  • @dhide14 you'd be surprised, i work for directv... some of our customers are lucky to realize that it has to be plugged into a power source.

  • @revivedpsmith:

Thanks for answering my question. Hey, how come HD service isn't free? I feel like Direct TV is ripping me off. All HD channels should be free.

  • @AestheticFlavor I couldn't agree more. Dish Network advertises doing free HD for life under the circumstances that you use auto bill pay. Some customers are eligible for the same thing through DirecTV, we just don't advertise it. Call and complain about Dish's offers a little bit and you may be eligible for free HD with DirecTV. I think it's sad we charge extra for HD when everything is moving to HD anyways... There's a lot of offers out there that just aren't given unless asked for...

  • @revivedpsmith:

Thanks for the advice, man. I really appreciate it. Happy holidays to you and yours!

  • I consulted:

I am a DirecTV installer here in Argentina.

The issue is that you want to ask, how long it takes to install a full HD there and how many per day do you do?

Here I installed 3 or 4 per day.

    Regards

    Nicolas.

  • ok why in the world would u have cable and direct tv lol and if u did iss there really a reason to switch back and forth

  • i live in ct so when the skool closes directv dont tell u but cable does

  • I don't have DirecTV, but I'm sure a lot of DirecTV receivers don't have a setup where you can do that (correct me if i am wrong). Therefore, I would just use something as simple as an A/B switch/splitter, where you would connect your DirecTV coax into port A, and then connect your Cable TV coax into port B, and then the other end goes into the back of your TV. When you want to watch DirecTV, you move the switch to A, and when you wanna watch Cable TV, you move the switch to B. You're all set !!

  • All Standard, Standard DVR, HD, and HD DVR receivers have a Off-Air RF jack to put in another cable.

  • OK. Like I said, I could be wrong, so I wasn't like "this is how it is, so live with it"...thanks for the clarification. :)

  • The newer models(black) HD and HD/DVR's do not have off air ports. Models H21, 22, 23 and HR21,22,23

  • Or you can conect your DirecTV receiver to your tv with RCA cables and the coax from cableTV to the back of the TV. that way you only have to swith the input in your TV with the remote control.

  • @errantego All receivers do, unless it is mpeg4, in which case u can use a cheaper rf modulator to compensate

  • @errantego so correcting u here. all dtv receivers have that setup. what hes showing here is exactly like the switch you're talking about. the dtv box actually acts as the A/B switch/splitter. the power button acts as the switch.

  • not exactly the best way to wire it though, better run cable to to the cable input on the TV, then take a s-video cable and RCA cables and wire the direct TV box to an input on the televison

  • Right, but this is probably the easiest for cable illiterate people.

  • Plus you would get a better picture with S-Video or RCA inputs.
