I love RARE shows like this. I wish The Hub, or CN would get blocks of these to air on weekend Mornings. Imagine the ratings they could get. All of us retro fans now have kids, nephews, etc.. We would watch, then get the kids in our family to watch. Networks would make money on shows they don't pay to produce now. I wish Discovery was open minded enough to make it's HUB network more available to basic channel line ups for those that don't want to buy or who can't afford higher tiered packages.
I was expecting for batman to show off something cool. I mean Supes just stopped a train, wonderwoman feats a lasso and jet, and aquaman uses his fish talk ability. And what does batman do? Fetch some teenage hitchhikers in his batmobile.
I got to admit I LOVED watching this when I was younger. In fact when I was little I could reach the light to the TV room, but was afraid to go in there in the dark, so I would wake up my older sister to watch this every Saturday morning. Having said that even at a young age I thought Aquaman was stupid. Worst superhero EVER.
I always thought the animation gave everyone double chins. The antimation was ok for the 70s, but the storylines needed some work. My fav was the origin of Superman, told by Marvin.
wendy is so hot! i don't think she really wants to date marvin but most of the other superfriends must be gay or something. i mean superman doesn't even check her out, he's like hands on hips 'look at me, look at me'. and she's all in that sassy spank me pose. weird
Essentially, yes... there was a Justice League cartoon series in the 60's as well, but this is pretty much considered the *definitive* first season/incarnation of the Justice League, proper, by most comic/cartoon geeks... this first season, despite being very cheesy by today's standards, was actually rather good, and most of the cheese factor stemmed from balancing the show to 5-7 year olds, as opposed to the Justice League of this decade, which was targeting adults, primarily...
Yes. At the end - in tiny print - you can see - "1973." In the 80s - the redid it beautifully - fighting the Legion of Doom - then the really modern version "JL/JL Unlimited..."

This show was offensive to Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman. I can't believe they they mention their names in the same intro as Aquaman.

@StyleGuy08 Are you kidding? In those days, the Scooby Doo formula was as popular as Pokemon is now.
