  • this guy went to my high school

  • @sportsfan6554 south caldwell.

    I go to Draughn, LHP

  • haha I pitch exactly like him but im right handed

  • Thiss dudees a beast my bro got a line drive off him though in this very game.

  • @lilbreeez101 nobody cares

  • gas

  • i played against him in HS.....yeah we lost 12-0 he had like 12 or 13 k's haha

  • Looks weird. Kinda like he short arms the ball or something..

  • grew up watching this guy play against my bro

  • who was he playing 4?

  • rofl bumgarner

  • Comment removed

  • Lincecum, Bumgarner, Cain, Zito, Sanchez! Future looks very bright. Cant wait to watch Madison every 5 days in the orange and black! From the looks of it, i think hes the real deal! Cant wait!

  • @Eyeownedu I know, we have the best pitching rotation ever...forget the Phillies!

  • Thank you for clarifying to these d=bags Jer

  • to all the idiots below saying he needs to develop a curve ball, he has a nasty curve I know I've played against him and with him... and to the moron that said he want go far unless he throws 95. well he was hitting 95 his senior year in high school.

  • nasty rotation right there

  • Lincecum-Cain-Bumgarner-Alderson

    Hell yeah.

  • looks like Randy Johnson with a poor followthrough. If he really does get up to 95, he should be arching over to slow his arm down more. Instead he's straight up at the end for fielding position.

  • stuff looks good, but his mechanics are like the anti-lincecum. throws with all arm. hows that gonna hold up??

  • doesnt throw with all arm. thats effortless body mechanics. pretty much ideal mechanics except for the low elbow spot. dono why youd compare him to lincecum, cuz hes on giants? lincecums mechs are rare and not considered sound mechanics cuz of potential back strain

  • you don't know what you are talking about.

  • who

  • you

  • then you dono shit about pitching. considering you responding to me saying lincecum doesnt have conventional sound mechanics. maybe you need to get off his nuts and learn something about pitching

  • You do actually need to follow through. Its for other reasons, not just mechanics.

  • what you mean you do need to follow through?? who said you dont?

  • Someone said he is like Randy Johnson just needs to follow through, and you said "no, its just effortless mechanics" and you said that those are the best. So, pretty much, once you get through all the BS, you said he doesn't.

  • need to read my post again.. i said he had effortless mechanics and that he doesnt look like lincecum because someone said hes anti lincecum like it was bad. i said lincecums mechanics arnt ideal mechanics....never said nothin bout not following through, thats like the first lesson in pitching to follow through

  • since when does everybodythrow the same? u stupid inbreed motherfucker.

  • since when did anyone say that? dumbass

  • 164 k and 21 bb in 141 innings in low a at nineteen. he is absurd.

in two to three years the giants will have the best rotation in the nl along with an $18 million/year long reliever.

  • it doesn't even look like he's throwin, then BAM, its in the glove already

  • Sad but true. Or a 18 million/year lefty specialist! LOL

  • Him, Lincecum, and Cain will be unstoppable!!!!!!!!!

  • and alderson too

  • Damn. How tall is this guy?

  • 6'4

  • Kyle Nicholson?

  • Madison!!!

    he went to my school.

    He is AMAZING.

  • what high school?

  • he went to south caldwell in hudson, nc

  • Reminds me a lot of Scott Kazmir, except with better control. Can you imagine this guy with Lincecum in a few years!? Yikes!

  • how hard does he throw? it seems to me like he doesnt use enough of his legs, he seems to really come up too fast and not finish off. but whatever hes doing is really working for him!

  • His ERA is now 1.52

  • His ERA is 1.77, pretty much time for him to move up to San Jose. Director of player personel Bobby Evans says he has a slider that he throws for strikes "15 out of 20 times." If he keeps it going and those offspeed pitches come along, he'll dominate the minors and will possibly be in SF as early as 2010.

  • Hes been lights out in his last 4 starts

  • and HE is very good. i went to all the baseball games at south last year, and he was AMAZING.

  • yeah, no shit. the pros aren't just major league baseball, retard.

  • HE HAS ALREADY BEEN DRAFTED TO THE PROS

  • Comment removed

  • HE plays for the Augusta Green Jackets now, the single-A affliate of the San Francisco Giants. I watched him throw Sunday. He was throwing gas but he was getting rocked the first few innings.

  • don't like his delivery, needs to have a higher arm slot

  • Why, Genius, does he need a higher arm slot? Would you like him to reduce natural movement on the fastball? The reason lots of kids get hurt is because some bozo decides to change their arm slot when they are 16-18 years old. Genetics determine an individual arm slot.

  • do u even know were he lives. he lives in nc

  • Pretty decent mechanics. A little more (not much) knee bend, and drive toward the plate wouldn't hurt. Otherwise he may see arm problems in the future. Looks good though.

  • Not 13 year olds...this was during the East Coast Showcase in Wilmington.

  • we need more people like madison who put god before baseball, and who show there faith by praying before an outing. NICE WORK! keep it up!

  • Madison signs his Giants contract

  • He better not spurn the Giants! Take your $2 million Madison!

  • come to carolina bumgarner!

  • this guy can hit too, led south caldwell the past 2 seasons in homeruns and rbi's. As a junior he ended North Forsyth High School's season in a 3-1 win(North Forsyth was 32-0 until the series against South Caldwell, #1 in NC and #15 in the nation as ranked by SI)I saw game 3 which was "the pitching matchup of the year" as Bumgarner faced Addison Johnson(starting outfielder for clemson, throws low-mid 90's)

  • Thanks man, keep me updated if possible!

Short season and rookie leagues for minor league affiliates start soon.

Nick Noonan and Jackson Williams are signed, just Culberson, Bumgarner, Alderson, and Fairley left as far as top picks go for the Giants.

  • right know all he is worried about is a trip to the beach with his fam. Don't get me wrong he is thinking but he probaly wont be making any decisions for a couple weeks

  • Think he'll sign w/the Giants?

  • Madison is a great kid with alot going for him. but the one thing that put him above the rest in my opinion is that before every inning he prays. He loves God on and Off the field.

  • In my opinion, that only makes him more obnoxious.

Ha. The kid is awesome though. His K/BB was something like 160/20. Crazy stuff.

  • North Carolina

  • where's he from?

  • I'd have rather have taken a hitter at pick #10, but whatever.

  • madisons off the hook, i go to West Caldwell High and he goes to South Caldwell High. Our baseball team played them and he tore our team apart. I think the final was 18 to 0.

  • Go Giants!!

    Cain, Lincecum, Bumgarner, Alderson, Lowry.

    Enough said.

  • the 10th overall pick in the 2007 draft. taken by the SF giants.
