  • sony: 9/10=0.9mm thin

    samsung: 0.6mm thin

well samsung win again! sony junk!

  • sony junk!

  • imagine i phone / ipad or newspaper Touchscreen!!

  • Japan!!!

  • i just withness the first flexible tv in yokohama made by hitachi

a 360 degree all direction tv by sony

the first 3d touch mobile by panasonic

i guess, technology will always be advanced XDXD

  • WOw cool standard stands.

  • Sony is laying on the OLED like a Dragon on a treasure chest and wants a arm and a leg for it.

  • Just like Blu-Ray.

  • This guy is wrong! Samsung had OLED products on the market according to their interview at the 2008 CES ! One whole yr before!

It's too bad that it's 2010 and Sony Ericsson still hasn't included this technology on their cell phones.

Nokia and Samsung have! ...I expected much more from Sony.

  • i want the OLED touch screen wristwatch!

  • wow she has no idea what he is talking about

  • when are the flexible OLED thingys coming out

  • soperrrrrr tehnologi

  • saoooooooooooperrr!!!!!!!!!! tehnologi

  • how would you hook up your xbox to it?

  • holy crap!@@! imagine ps3 with killzone 2 and pepsi at 4 am with this tv ?...... D: heaven

  • ¿4am? Lol.

  • yeaj u know agt that time no 1s screaming or any noise

  • I was at the University of Waterloo yesterday where they are working on this stuff, and its so cool, i got it explained to me how it works, and its amazing

  • wow cant wait to have a small flexible screen . now i can put it in my pocket take it to the bathroom and start jacking off while watching porn :D

  • )) <=3

  • It is so flexible that it can go up in your ass and you can see tv inside yourself AMAZING!!!!

  • =)))) lool

  • omfd hahahha!@!@!!!@!@fuckerXD

  • the infrature laid down for manufacturing LCDs and plasmas is what preventing OLEDs from coming into the market.

  • 9/10th of a millimeter! holy shit

  • @Kairingo

    samsung: 0.6mm thin. watch?v=sUhRR4Vdamg

  • @MrClimbtothetop you are an idiot. the thickness of those TVs are about an inch thick (25mm!), And Samsung's new wall mounting system is 0.6 INCHES away from the wall. wow, could you be any more wrong. Also Samsung is junk not Sony.

  • explain why it is 10 times more expensive

I see like 1 pount worth of resourse.

figure that out. and youll end up selling them.

I dont give a damn, untill its cheaper than what i have on my desk right now.

I could care less what sits behind my screen.

  • Its not just thinner, its faster, better color, better contrast, and almost 100 percent efficient.

Once the tech matures it will be cheaper and easier to produce than current flat screens. Its expensive because its new tech, give it time, you will own one.

  • and that will bring a true evolution to portable gadgets. just think how thin will be touchscreen music player / cell phones be? maybe even just a scroll is enough. an hand held consoles will be great.

  • I cant believe their flex tech has not improved its been around 4 years and that thing still looks the same size and shape

  • I know that tech is really amazing especially with their flex oleds displays, but if they're going to charge $2500 for an 11" Oled think how much they could price something like a roll up mp3 player or a set of video processing sun glasses with gps nav. or the all loving $10,000 wrist band. We may not see this tech for atleast five more years but by that time oled could be out gunned by samsung if they don't get in the game with some better and soon to sell products. SONY #1

  • Zune HD = OLED = Win!

  • Cellphones with OLED screens.

  • this is the best technology out there as far as producing pure whites but for a hefty price...

  • haha nice one=D

  • "You're teasing us!"

    "HHAHAHAHA I'LL TEASE YOU BITCH!"

  • That thing is thin!

  • Saw the sony one today, awesome, blows LCD away

  • Samsung impreesion has OLED screen so it's already being incorporated into cellphone technology....I've also read that Iphone & LG will be out with their OLED cellphones by 4th qtr 2009

  • I think Samsung has much better tech and Sony dominates in ridiculous prices. Go Sony!!!

  • samsung have allready the products in the market they are not only a concepts

  • Well that only means samsung product will break faster because they have not spend any time on the product.

    Samsung=Quantity

    Sony=Quality

  • WARNING!

    fallacious comment.

  • Samsung only uses LED , not the OLED technology, not the same.

  • i know the difference, in fact samsung used OLED since 3 years ago in his MP3 player's display... maybe you 2 need to read more about the lidership of the brands, in the actual GLOBAL MARKET, then you will konw about who's the lider in tech, manufature and sales... i know this becouse this is my job, every day i have to know th changes in the market... news flash sony is going down and samsung is going up, this is not what "i think", is just only what i see every day

  • and is my jod too know ALL the caracteristics of ALL products of ALL brands including Phillips, LG, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, JVC, Panasonic, etc. bcouse i'm an A/V instructor for salesmen, in SEARS, BestBuy, and many more stores

  • Nice grammar.

  • learn to spell.

  • man they need to calm down with making new shit damn i just bought a 2300 dollar tv and in a couple of months its not going to be worth crap

  • same dude, if you can take ur tv back get ur money back, and just get a crap tv for now, untill the led comes out

  • The response time on OLEDs are faster than any LCD. (about 0.01 of a millisecond, compared to 2ms for a computer monitor and 8ms for a typical lcd)

I'm sure when the cost goes down, some might have Internet too.

  • i prefer samsung its 0.65 mm

  • apple's iPhone 4g is going to use this technology.

  • lol at you

  • 0.9mm thick! Holy damn, That is about as close as I can get my fingers together without them touching... That is insane, I can't wait to see these in a year or so.

  • these thing make my iphone looks bulky...

  • it is, it may be flat, but its wide and annoying

  • holy crap thats as thin of a few pieces of paper!

  • this sort of technology is good for gaming (eg. a racing games' steering wheel could have a screen moulded in the middle, acting as a mirror)

  • so whats the big announcement? theyve had that on sale for the past year? still havnt got bigger than 11"? They can flex a 3" OLED screen? is that it? wake me up when they make one big enough to watch TV on...

  • The next 10 years are gonna be crazy

  • wtf

  • Sony is awesome, great video! Definitely keep them coming!

  • "you aren't cooling saying 'o-lead'"

Wait, you are insulting them on how they pronounce their device's name when you can't even string a sentence together?

  • welcome to the future

  • Saying "o-lead" sounds SO stupid. Do you go around saying "lead" instead of LED too? You aren't cooling saying "o-lead".

  • i was thinking the exact same thing

  • then it makes two of you being moron.

  • being moron??

    that doesnt even make sense

then thats 3 of us, lol

  • Thats o-LED (ligth emmiting diode).almost the same thing you see on your mp3 players.

  • yes, but this is a flexible oled =]
