im gunna be buying this camera as soon as i get the money. right now im using a d70 (obviously just for photo). but i wanna get back into video again.

and besides.. i can use the same lenses i have for it.

I used a Tokina AT-X 280AF Pro 28-80mm f/2.8 at f/4 or f/5. It's an excellent lens, i love it. The only drawback is its weight :P :).d

Hey, I have a Nikon D-90 too. Can I ask you how you get your video to fill out the entire YouTube screen? I use Final Cut Express and even after changing all the settings to 'HD 1280X720' when I export it, I still get the the bars at the top and the bottom of the screen. Thanks!

HI! As I remember, I used mpeg-4 codec but I'm not sure.

Vegas is quite good if you have the right plug-ins.

I think he's right! - I've looked at other 720p HD video tests, and they look NOTHING near as good as compared to this. - did you retouch the video? - or is it the lens? - coz I'm planning to get a Nikon D5000, with a VR 18-105 lens kit... so I wanna know if I'll make such quality videos straight out of the box...

hi, eerereps! there is no major retouch. just a little color balancing in Sony Vegas, that's all. in this video I've used a Tokina 28-80 f2,8 AT-X Pro lens and a tripod. I think you gonna get a good result with the D5000 and the VR 18-105. you should get the Sony Vegas as well. :)

dont buy a d5000! spent this 200$ more for a D90! after your first objectiv you have the money back! ( if you buy the cheaper af-d version of the same objektiv..)

yes, it's just like an ordinary dslr. except it has Live View and HD video recording function.

@kolplam lucky you! - as for me, I wanna get a D5000 instead! - but I still can't decide to get the 18-55 VR + 55-200 VR lenses, or just 1 18-200 VR II lens! - will be using it for HD videos as well as still photos!

i love it, too. it's my second love XD. before the D90 i had a D50, it was a great dslr as well.

it was about 1.040 USD, only the body. so it was quite expensive. but it worth every penny :D
