  • I assume the launcher gets a velocity and distance reading and then relays that to the missile. Does it use inertial guidance?

  • is just amazing

  • Swedish fire Power!

Rules The world in many ways, But even tho we have grown more mature than to be at war, We are a Neutral Country. All we do i to help build up, And one of the ways we get money to help other countrys is thru Weaponfare Tecnology (Oh, How ironic)

  • Nice "toy". I want one of these to take down my neighbour's BMW 7.50i ... :-D

  • I need to buy one like this.

  • The speed and sound are awesome.

  • I would love to have this.

  • Sweet that Finnish Defence Force bought Saab-Bofors NLAW AT-weapons for 37M Euros, good choice I say :)

    Lets hope they're never needed..

  • The swedes rocks when it comes to Anti tank weapons... But I still love my old Carl Gustav :-)

  • Why does it have to curve & dance! Shoot straight like a gun, with more explosive ?

  • Because it is a Fire & Forget missile without a seeker or guidance from the launcher. With the MBT-LAW you track the target with the launcher. The missile is the instantly programmed to fly in a path such that it will hit the target no matter what distance it was from the launcher. The further away teh target was, the more the missile must turn in order to fly over it sinec it takes longer to reach a far away targets.

  • Also, the navigational system is designed to be able to carry multiple charges to hit mulitple targets in one flight.

Also, for defensive use you can program the system to fly a specific path and take out a vehicle along that path. Wich means the system can be well hidden out of sight, be launched and then just come around the street corner or follow the bends of a road and hit the target. No other system today is able to do that. It is basically a small cruise missile.

  • Good video!

  • swedish steel?

  • Well, if you actually watch the video you can see that it flies above the target and fire downwards, where the roof of the target would be.

  • haha^^^

The leo2, m1a2 sep, chal2, merk4 all have fron protection levels OVER 1200. So this thing isnt a big threat

  • Nope, still wouldnt stand a chance. That thing is fucking amazing, you have to experience it 1st hand to realise how powerful it really is, I have been testing them out over the last three weeks! (British Army) The Challenger 2 didnt stand a chance!

  • WTF?! It's much better than the italian C1 Ariete!!!

  • I don't think they would try this weapon on a challenger 2, it would just cost to much. Are you sure it wasn't an old challenger 1 or centurion?

  • The demo armor is the standard RHA used in all weapons testing.

The warheads is basicly the same as in Bill2 and the rear quite easilly pierces 510 mm of RHA alone.

This means that MBT-LAW will punch through ALL tanks and hit the ground under them...

  • not that effective, the demo armour was used for testing was cheap.

  • very interesting video, wish there were more like this on YT
