for all you young boys an girls I saw them in 68 at newport jazz in newport R.I. saw them from time to time at fillmore east in N.Y, Ian always said things change don,t they off of This Was an they have, this is what a band should be tight, they are all players, the music is hard an complex listen to the cord changes timing, an also the word that are written, they are the real deal, Can some please tell me how the hell they are not in the R&R hall of shame, they are the best out there
@Mr10350 We Moody Blues fans are outside too. The two highest quality rol time are not in and SPANK the groups who are in .No apology is applicable. Just like Congress it is a ......house...but without the benefit to society. It has defined itself..
By the way..add Heart to the groups who care enough to practice and work on their presentations to be worthy of the prices of admission X 5000. Respectfully,
@telsport I already knew the R&R Hall of Fame was full of shit when they denied The Guess Who. But to find out the Moody Blues and Tull r not there just reinforces it.
this was off of Broadsword and the Beast which was a huge favorite in Germany when it came out. Always wondered why Germans took to this Tull album moreso than all the others???
just to echo and add to what someone said there... theres a LOT of "artists" now adays that could take a lesson in what REAL music is from Ian and Tull.... (I'm only 27 by the way, but I freakin love Tull)
I was just sixteen when this was being recorded at Maision Rouge recording studios in fulham London ...... i was fortunate enough to start working there around this time as a tea boy training as a tape op !!! the best of times ... the guys in the band were just superb and totally down to earth .. and ian anderson had a pet name for me !! the succulent pig ? LOL a real honour for me .. as they bought me an action man bubble bath for my birthday ...
This is just an awesome track from the Tull ! Ians lyrics are somethig else, shame i missed their 40th. anniversary tour last year. Thanks so mush for posting. Peace & love
Tull fan since 73 in Albuquerque..saw them last year in Imst, Austria 40th Anniversary Tour...simply the best! There will never be a flutist equal to Ian!
Intro and outro are as hauntingly EPIC as anything in music....period.

Why is music so sucky now? There is no band out there right now who can come even close the intricacies and skill it took to make this music.

Great song from an unfairly criticised 'poppy' album. Do they still do this gem live? They should, it's quintessential Tull.

I like the simulated vocals in this song....kind of reminds me a little bit of "Catch Me I'm Falling" by Real Life.

Me too, I love the classic Jethro Tull stuff, between 1968 and 1979, but this song is one of my favourites.
