It looks like a squished version of the original New Beetle....I'll take my 2007 Beetle Cabriolet and 2003 Sunroof over the new version....although the 200hp Turbo would be nice....
They show a commerical for the 2012 with whitewall tires. The hubs are really great looking on this model. Here's the thing, manuals won't be out until the end of the year. I've ordered one because they only have automatics so far on the lots. Also, this model is a 5 cycle engine. Has the pep of a 6 but the fuel economy of a 4 cycle

in Germany its not a 2,5l engine with 200Hp,.. Here it is the GTi engine (2.0 TSi 147kW) with 200Hp. So 0,5l less with the same power... I´m wondering =/,.

@venom2625 I think so. I also like engines in the front and mid-engines too. it just depends on the car. I use to help build my friends with rebuilding their VW Beetles and there is just a different feeling with this Beetle. I like the rear engine's better. I love the black Beetle in Beetle vs. Mustang and it resembles my friend's VW a lot. I don't think I could get that same feeling with a front engine. Maybe I am wrong.
Please tell me VW isn't modifying this car for the American market like the new Passat and Jetta. When I buy a VW, it means I don't want something like a Toyota or Honda. I want something all German.
