I think Bernard Manning was the greatest comedian who ever lived. Because of alternative comedy the UK's sense of humour has been suppressed to the point we're frightened of saying what we feel. A university education has been to the detriment of the comedy scene. Sadly a thousand jokes have died with Bernard but hopefully somebody will come along in his stead to raise the bar a little so we can all laugh at what we want to laugh at regardless of the thought police.
