It's called diaga + silence + chainspell nuke... fight over in less than 20 secs, Blue's are baddass in multiplayer ballista, no doubt, but no job compares to RDM one on one.
just wanna say ur a decent RDM but you won for 2 reasons tht BLU failed to cast head butt and he never healed once wit the amount of heals u used the fight would have been over point to take away from this BLU or go home hehe (75 BLU/NIN 4 life)
@bothetaru4eva actually his mistake was not subing war, and he did heat butt a couple of times but it isn 100% stun or interrupt as you can see ;), bersek + warcry + hysteric barrage is scarry
I think it all depends on the player, the equipment he has to counter BLU or RDM spells, and a little bit of luck and anyone could win. The only thing RDMs got going for them is their buffs and BLUs is their powerful spells... if you study how to counter this based on the rule you set then you should come up to be the victor.

And i'd have to disagree about the def thing. A few of hits, from what I can see got turned down because of it. Example. A few of his multi-hitters either 1. Missed or 2. Were reduced because of phalanx and the shield. Since a shield basicly adds in a whole layer of def and rdm having shield skill the damage on the rdm would have been negated quite a few times. Put that with shield mastery from the pld job trait. Bam reduced damage. Put that with SS and you have basicly a wall. I'd personally

we did tryed a blu/rdm fight and resutls were the same, just longer fights, dispel burned his mp and i recasted faster than he dispelled, besides silence was forbbiden for this fight by blu choice
@Newagepaladin3 BLU Disseverment has the best DoT poison in the game, rips the 300+ stoneskin off of RDM in seconds. Also RDM Bio III reduces melee attack, basically won't be nearly dead in from the BLU 3 big spell(also a good DoT). In fights that are instant, you have no time to put down debuffs because it's the timing to stun RDM with head butt or dispell, keeping him busy and there you need to excute your 3 big hits. As for RDM, he needs to survive and counter.

The rdm in this vid takes pity on the blu and allows himself to be seriously handicapped (no kiting or silence); yet he still wins. i have fought a rdm b4, but the funny thing is i was a lvl 64 taru blu/nin and i beat a 74 Hume rdm... now i have no idea how i pulled this off but i think the major role was my radient breathing sticking for most of the fight, though this win was by pure ass luck lol. anyways nice vid =)
af body is better, and about the CA is kinda tru also, but, that sc was the only part when i was really in danger of geting technically one shotted, 700 dmg in a couple of seconds is dangerous, more than spell with about 100 extra dmg.

breath spells doesnt deal a lot of dmg and they cost lots of mp, and the casting time is huge, sentinel could take a couple of spells if silenced but this was a no silence match XD.

flash is = fast enough to interrupt big3 wheel, that beeing said, a big3 wheel even w/o buffs, sometimes isnt enough to kill, a skillchain w/o buffs would be more dangerous in my oppinion, i think he didnt dispell, cuz being an elvan w/o mp merits his mp was quite low and sleeping and dispeling all the lolbuffs (bar,en,etc)until taking down phalanx SS takes a big part of his mp pool, more if he has to do it couple of times in the same fight.
true true, but when your flashed you shouldnt cast spells, most likely flash is used as a stall to not get hit while casting a long cast time spell in which it would be the perfect time to use a magic spell that would hinder the RDM some more like maybe just a spare dispel or i dont know even a sleep or cure spell, when it comes to /PLD it can become really tricky especially when its a RDM x_X.
ahh yes that is a good point, but all those wasted big 3 spells due to your buffs would make up much more mp trying to take you down. I don't have much vs RDM experience as there are not many good pvp rdms on fenrir but i'll look for one to practice with.
the dmg difference between a getting hit w/o phalanx for each big 3 spell is sometimes like 100, but it varies a lot, so i would dispel if im taru, but just cast if im elvaan.
Whats the max damage absorbed by phalanx? i know subbed its 8 damage (iirc) so times that by 5 its the damage mitagated from hysteric barrage and disseverment... but yeah i see what you mean i went back on my BLU hume and saw i had like 525 mp with my gear on so yes 35 mp for a dispel is too much for a spell that can be recasted almost imediately
its 24dmg per hit, so it would reduce about 120 disservement dmg, but since phalanx cost 21mp, and dispel cost more, beside, dispel maybe will erase a low mp buff first, thats why dispelling is not always the best option in my opinion
IMO that BLU is pretty decent, i would wear the AF body though, since you were mainly using your sword for damage i would sub war and defense build and i notice that he never used a stun against you, big tool is our head butt and fry pan stuns, during those "use setinel to cast" moves you did he could have easily stunned all of those buffs or if he missed follow them up with a geist wall.
yeah rdm sub isnt that good due to the fact we have no skill in any of the magic but he knew alot of the concepts of fighting 1 on 1 but he just wasnt a seasoned enough 1 on 1 player

he made a couple of mistakes, but did a nice job, he didnt heal because he would use some mp, key to win in this tipe of matches when rdm doesnt die in a big3 round is to make him burn his mp, not to give swing a couple of more times his swords
actually, thats to force me cast diaga, and im not sure, but i think diaga overwrite bio3, not sure on that, but if it does, he is forcing me to cast bio3 again, using a lot of mp.
Very nice fight. It's nice to see a fight were silence is prohibited as you are then required to use other alternatives to meet your goal. You both put up a good fight, the 3rd one was especially nice since even through mana burn you still managed to survive and beat him in the end.

i think he used it because he needed the extra hp,mp(he ran out every battle) the acc is nice when blinded, but i can say, his spell were the strongest i've ever seen, the first gut that actually tries to dispel buffs, and is the first time i got skillchained in a 1v1 XD.

yeah lol, because the closest fights i have ever had are always with blus, it takes skill to fight them, and fighting them is a good way to get better at pvp

Use sheep song at start=> take all rdm shadow down=> chaotic eyes=> use blank gaze(if rdm stoneskin up)=> all your high damage spells

as long as you realize blu spell that ignore shadow u will be able to take most of the other job down.

I've been slept to open by Pinecone Bomb, the second you wake me up with the first of the big 3 heavy damage spells just means I have to hit Sentinel, and Flash to get Protect IV/Phalanx/Stoneskin up... and if you're foolish enough to use Disseverment, you can't sleep.

he made a couple of mistakes, but did a nice job, he didnt heal because he would use some mp, key to win in this tipe of matches when rdm doesnt die in a big3 round is to make him burn his mp, not to give swing a couple of more times his swords

yes it does, besides, its deals a good initial dmg, is fast, and the dot makes it a very good spell.

actually, thats to force me cast diaga, and im not sure, but i think diaga overwrite bio3, not sure on that, but if it does, he is forcing me to cast bio3 again, using a lot of mp.

Nah, Bio 3 has precendance. Bio overwrites Dia, unless the Dia is a tier higher (like Dia 2 > Bio 1)
BLU needs to not sub NIN at all imo...

Very nice fight. It's nice to see a fight were silence is prohibited as you are then required to use other alternatives to meet your goal. You both put up a good fight, the 3rd one was especially nice since even through mana burn you still managed to survive and beat him in the end.

^^ This video was much better than the last one i watched... the no silence thing is a good rule i guess.... without its just a war to see who sticks it first =/.... especially in a no item fight

It,s NOT a war to see who stick it first. OMG lol a RDM have the advantage of the DISTANCE. he will silence BLUE MAGE FIRST!. blue mage need to be NEAR for silence that RDM. also RDM/BLM easier cause satrt with SLEEPGA and then SILENCE.

too bad range means nothing when it comes to Sprint >> Stunga, or ranged Terror spell.
RDM/BLM are the easiest versions to kill tbh.

menos mal q sabes lo q haces, y con el equipment que va :D y el genbushield :DDDDDDDDDDDDD (no como la mayoria de los novatos rdms q usan espadas dobles) eso af2 body y la gorra af1 pal fast casting XD, y le tiras paralyze con el phalanx siempre arriba, sabes jugar en ballista

I just died 1/4 lol, i had that gear you saying. rules were no silence, no items, thats why i didnt silenced him, silence fights are boring lol, i have one in my account, its VERY! boring XD.

i think he used it because he needed the extra hp,mp(he ran out every battle) the acc is nice when blinded, but i can say, his spell were the strongest i've ever seen, the first gut that actually tries to dispel buffs, and is the first time i got skillchained in a 1v1 XD.

Jubbah would still increase spell dmg. quality over quantity. hell it'd even up his acc.
on side note: don't play w/ BLU that have TP. we're mean. anywho, good vid yet again abe =P

i liked the fact that you didnt silence him thats how fights between us and rdms should be, a straight up brawl. i hate it when rdms silence us and then gloat and if we decide to use a echo they call it cheap. you are one of those few respectable rdms and those were awesome fights i hope a rdm can stand up to me like that soon

yeah lol, because the closest fights i have ever had are always with blus, it takes skill to fight them, and fighting them is a good way to get better at pvp
