Remember that the idea of vampire nazis was origianally comissioned by Hitler. Notice that in OVA 4 the Major says "I'm sorry general but my orders are directly from the late furher".
Anyway they were Nazis in WW2 and they're basically Waffen SS troops so they are nazis

nope its right, You must have not read the manga in quite awhile, Hitler had knoledge of Millenium and thats why the major said "Sorry General but that information is between me and the late Furher". This is a manga, not real life
and BTW Hitler didn't want to breed the perfect humans, he saw Germans as the perfect example of mankind

Its a common misconception, Hitler liked Blonde hair and blue eyes, this is because it is a trait that is not shown in any other race and something which he believed should be protected (i,e the individual traits from the white race).

They refer to the Major as Sturmbannführer, which translates roughly into 'Storm unit Leader' where a Sturmbann is the rough equivalence to a Battalion, hence the fact that he leads the Letzte Battalion, or the 'Last Battalion'
