  • Actually exercise/mobility is quite an important factor in restoring your alignment. There's all kinds of skills you learn through exercise that eventually become automatic and don't require conscious thought. To name a few; skiing, skating, keyboarding, tying a shoelace, riding a bicycle, etc. The point is to develop muscle memory so it becomes subconscious.

The website uses people who transport heavy loads on their head as reference. This sustained exercise develops great posture!

  • the point is to have a straight back WITHOUT thinking about it

Can exercises fix that ?? i don't think so

  • I think we should think in a balanced used of the self instead of a raigth posture. Posture may be static, and we need to be able to move and think, and make all activities replacing effort wth balance. Have you heard about Alexander Technique or Feldenkrais? It's interesting.

  • That will vary with each individual. The goal is that it becomes a habit - a way of resetting your posture position. I do the upper body exercises - Rocket, Piston, Head Turner, JacRetract, Posture Breath, etc. dozens of times a day without the PostureJac. Once in a while I put it on to extend the stretches and tune up my conditioning.

That's my maintenance practice. Others may be different, but the goal is "to feel ighter, taller, stronger".

  • for how many times or minutes

  • These are some great videos it seems anywhere I go stooping seems to be the reule, and if you try to maintain good posture then it is seen as either arrogant, defiant, or authoritarian, This shouldn't be..I think all people should not only practice good posture and natural organic movement but they should encourage each other to do the same

    thanks!

  • This is available at the web address posted above. There is lots more info on the website and an online store for purchase.

Find your correct size and submit your order. As a North American based operation, overseas submissions will be delayed until a shipping price is manually set, and then a link is provided to complete the purchase.

  • Do you have to expand your chest to get a perfect posture?

  • Actually as you correct forward head/rounded shoulders posture, your chest will expand unless it is impeded.

I would use the term "optimal" rather than "perfect" because posture needs to be dynamic and balanced and not rigid in one position. Optimal posture provides the opportunity for all parts to function at their mechanical best, including chest expansion.

  • Actually Phil, you should check it out a bit more. If you are a serious piano player, you already put yourself at risk of developing C posture from hunching over the keyboard for hours on end.

Your posterior back muscles are already getting stretched and weak. Continuing that trend into your forties, you could be experiencing a lot of chronic pain and posture decline.

Your body needs kinetic involvement to stay vibrant and healthy. PostureJac is an adoption guide to good posture.
