the price is good but not the overseas outsourced customer service ,these people in the philippines or guatamala speak engish and are so polite but they dont seem to communicate well, its always taken me hours to deal with any quirks or issues both myself and my girlfriend have had several problems with not being able to make calls and ive had problems with my internet browser not working ...i would rather work a few xtra hours at work than spend hours on the phone with ST's overseas support
Natlieremo is correct when she states that nothing is wrong about cheap deals when you buy from straighttalk. Some other companies who sell cheap phones are suspect but Straighttalk aint one of them. I'v bought more than 10 phones from them as family presents and haven't had any complaints.
I been with Straight Talk a year and I've saved over $800.00 as it's my business phone so I use it all the time. I find it great to know that my work cell phone expense will always be $45.00 a month...no more, no less...it helps me to budget better.
It's great but if you need help, I'm telling everybody to use the support tab on their Facebook page. This way, you get great savings AND great support, Ha!
Anyone with a teenager knows the "cell phone bill" nightmare and the war that follows! Straight Talk has made that problem disappear and boy am I grateful! We now have peace in our home and my daughter is as happy as can be and uses her cell phone 24/7 without being yelled at!
@ffreda6 you forgot to mention that you'll never get a dropped call while using those unlimited minutes as well. The fact that they use the ATT and Verizon wireless towers to broadcast their signals means that it's the most comprehensive source of coverage in the US.
Pre paid really is the way of the future I think! No more shocks at the end of the month when you recieve your cell phone bill. It's all sorted out upfront for $45 with the ST unlimited plan and you have all the texts, calls and data transfers at your disposal. Verizon is great so you don't have to worry about the reception failing you either..
Haha you can just tell by listening to this that this lady definitley is on her phone 24-7. If she isn't complaining then Straight Talk must be pretty good!
@tomspeckle What would there be to complain about Tom? It's all you can talk, text, 411, and mobile web for only 45 bucks a month, on iPhone-like phones (love the new Samsung r810c model) and with great service, as they use the Verizon network. What else do you want???
I finally got some of my friends to switch over to Straight Talk! They didn't believe me about how easy and cheap it is! Now they're spreading the word around and soon all my friends will be Straight Talkers. Straight Talk should pay ME for all the business I've helped them get. LOL
@GolferGuy3782 Nobody believes me! I use my phone in the exact same way that my iPhone user friends do but I literally pay like a third of what they do each month. It's pretty ridiculous that people are so willing to overpay on wireless bills in a recession.
@natalieremo I feel sorry for them lol. Sooner or later word is going to get out that prepaid services simply don't cost as much as contract carriers price them at and they are going to have to drop their prices to stay competitive with Straight Talk. That's when your friends will realize what they've done lol
@natalieremo I think that has something to do with if you don't pay a lot for product or service, there must be something wrong with it. As you know, that couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to Straight Talk. This is what you need to do. Tell them to buy one of the less expensive phones and put the all in one plan for $30 for 30 days. If they're not satisfied at the end of 30 days, buy the phone from them. My guess is they'll by thrilled that they keep the phone.
yep, agreed. straight talk is the best prepaid provider, and the cheapest. i got the unlimited prepaid plan that costs me $45 a month, less than half of what i used to spend on contract, and i use my phone a lot more now that i am unlimited in my talking, texting and web access. great deal from straight talk, so glad i found it at walmart. the reception is great and i don't pay any extra for long distance. awesome deal from straight talk, suggest you check it out at walmart yourselves...
Straigtht talk is really great, I dont know if you had some bad luck with your phone, or maybe it got hit or domething because i had mine for a year now and it works perfectly. It's also a pretty neat phone with a camera and mp3 player. You should bring your phone back to the store, maybe they'll change it for you.
@emmadj93 Ya also don't know what he's talking about because my Nokia 6790 works really well and is practically a steal for 45 dollars a month (compare that to 90 with my blackberry) and I'm not sure that they would sell you something defective
@jjohnsice My Nokia 6790 doesn't seem to be "defective" in any sense of the word, in fact it works even better than my iPhone so I'm sorry if your experience wasn't up to par!
@dolphan127 Me neither, I just got the smartphone that looks like a Blackberry and I don't miss my old blackberry service. Seems like the only thing different was the big price tag lol
I give my kids the $30 for 1000 minutes of talk and text time. 1000 minutes is a hang of a lot of time and using this plan I reckon that they have to be conscious of budgeting (while I am saving money)
So true about the kids texting. I got my two sons to share an unlimited deal phone and they love it. They can text as much as they want and so they just text all month. Saves me tons of cash and keeps them happy
Thanks misty but you didn't mention their smartphone! For the same low price, you can basically have an iPhone walking around in your pocket with the Nokia 6790. Unlimited email? Smartphone? 45$? Hello?
@filmguy786 Really? That's great news for me because I was waiting for them to add a smartphone to their inventory, I run my business from my phone and I need to stay on top of email and browse the web. THe nokia 6790 that straight talk offers is perfectly ideal.
@finsman777 My husband has been holding back from switching to Straight Talk because he can't let go of his smart phone. Wait until I tell him they've come out with a smart phone for only $45 a month. We'll finally stop throwing money out the window with att.
I work for myself and Straight Talk has really made a difference in my life....not just the great savings on the unlimited plan for $45 but also I can budget exactly for cell phone expenses. Great coverage too!
I text a lot too! I mean, these days that's the way most of my friends chose to communicate. That's why Straight Talk's $45 plan for unlimited texting, minutes, email, web, and 411 is perfect for me. It's great to be connected to the Verizon towers too, since you get service practically everywhere.
@ComeonHeat You must check out the new Nokia6790 slider smart phone from Straight Talk if you are thinking of up-grading your phone this one costs $200.00 and is a really superior phone and should be a dream to text on!
@islay263 it is! I just got it and I'm really happy with it. Straight Talk just keeps getting better. They've got great service, incredlble low cost plans, and now fun and reliable smart phones! If you're thinking of getting the Nokia6790, I recommend it,
Just purchase the New Straight Talk Smart phone Samsung Finesse. Is so cool and with the same deal I had before. Straight Talk Unlimited thank you, I was kind of broke, but now with all the savings I will have per month, everything will be ok. Straight Talk please Go Buy It Now.
I also compared my cellphone to straight talk cellphones. They have a great selection of cellphones from all types and all price ranges. They even have a new smart phone out called the samsung finesse which I hear is awesome!
i feel the same way misty. i use my phone a lot, texting and calling friends and family.i am a student and not home a lot anymore, but i miss my family and friends back home and call and text a lot to keep up with what's happening back home. straigth talk offers this incredible unlimited plan for $45 a month. it gives me unlimited talk, text and web access, and is therefore the perfect plan for me and my budget.thank you straight talk
I really can't think of a down side to Straight Talk. I am so glad I made the move. my contract was such a stressfull arrangement. It's awful to somehow be surprised/shocked by a hige cell phone bill at the end of each month. Straight Talk is much simpler and easy on the pocket.
I have found my straighttalk samsung the most amazing phone. The service from straighttalk is amazing and it is the best thing for texting. For $45 a month I get unlimited talk, text and web time. I am very lucky as I love to talk and text
This has to be a scam, but it's not. Hahaha. I have had it for almost a year and love the cheap price and the good coverage... never lost a call and get great sigles wherever I go. You should check it out, really.
Straight talk offers so much for so little. I have the Samsung T401G which is an awesome phone for texting and web browsing. I like the QWERTY keyboard because i can message everyone so fast. It literally takes me 5 seconds to text someone. Some of my other friends with other phones take a lot longer.
i have recently switched to Straight Talk after a lot of my friends told me about it. i went to Walmart and checked it out. sounded a great deal so i tried it, and have to say i have never been happier. i text a lot to my friends, and my husband travels a lot for his job, so we spent a lot of time on the phone. with the Straight Talk unlimited plan for $45 a month i now have unlimited talk and text and no extra charges for long distance calls. for my budget and my situation this ST plan is perfe
I find using the Straight Talk prepaid packages $45 & $30 plans to have 1 big advantage for me above the other cell phone packages I have seen & that is that you can make calls to friends and family in other far away states in the USA for the same price as a local call. This saves me allot of money in calls as my husband travels all over the USA allot and stays over in hotels for at least a week to 10 days every month. At least I don't have to worry about sky hight bills, I've got control here
I hear her on teens texting a lot! Straight Talk was a life saver (my teens life ;) ). She can now text endlessly and I don't have the worry of an excessive bill. I am yet to hear of a deal that can beat unlimited everything for $45! Thanks ST
Straight talk really does have great phones, and they provide an amazing service and coverage AND the best deal in the country- $45 unlimited everything deal...
Straight Talk is the best thing that ever happened to the parents of teenagers who spend 24/7 on the phone! $45.00 per month for unlimited calling, texting and data connection is incredible value for money ...Thanks ST !
Yep, these plans sure are good value for your dollar. I might as well say the best actually, because I have yet to see any plan that competes with this. I saw one of 'em other prepaid carriers advetising a similar price the other day but when I checked out their network coverage it was spottier than a dalmation!
I find Straight Talk unlimited service plan card so convenient, its got the benefits of being on a contract without the bondage and extra hidden costs and surprise bills. For only $45.00/month for 30 days of service, getting unlimited text, talk and mobile web access & unlimited calls to 411 this is definitely unbeatable value.
Now that I'm using the auto refill option I never have to think about cell phone costs or refilling every month - 1 less worry on my mind!
I noticed comments regarding ST customer service, and I have to say I've heard the opposite. I've had customer service nightmares with several companies and my mom was so upset with AT&T that she switched to Straight Talk. Not to mention, her credit is kind of shaky so no contract or credit check really worked her and she seems to have no more customer service issues - its quick and easy now.
I just got my phone (LG 220c) for Straight Talk this past Friday night, and it is a great deal. I live in a very rural area, and I have coverage in my home, and everywhere I go. I think this is the future of cell service. $45/mo for unlimited everything including U.S long distance. Best part is that it uses Verizon's network for reliable service nationwide. Free 411 is also great.
