  • this guys a legend

  • i love how he just holds his leg up at that angle. a girl in one of my old dojangs could do that. its a scary sight

  • Remember I was here.Thai 5:58PM 5/12/2011

  • i never care about the point, i care about kicking ppl i hate in his bloody face...

  • lol are they using a basketball court?

  • @URMOMB1TCh3Z Does it really matter? They could be using a basketball court or a million-dollar dojang...the lessons thaught are still going to be the same!

  • @iseein4d right you are. our dojo is about 7 metres by 10 metres, in an old rickety building. It doesnt take away from the lesson.

  • 0:01

  • ROT OF ROUNDHOUSE KICK! BOW! bOW! BAW! BOWH! BOOOOOW!!!!!

  • This is exactly how my old master used to teach us. He would preach it like a freakin sermon.

  • dude i sware at :32 someone farted

  • is side whip kick the same as side snap kick?

  • holy shit! he can hold his leg up for a while and i cant even do a 1 second hold

  • @shiddi1 It takes time, hood, I used to be like that too, I've been training for a month and can hold it up at least for 20 sec now...

  • lol "smell good right?"

  • can anyone tell me how to fasten my kick like that..

  • @snhboys train harder.

  • HOO FARTED XD!!!

  • he's very smooth...I like how he teaches, it keeps you motivated and amused..

  • @RDraGon2179-to weaken the opponent.. we do punch.. not just kick every time. the point is WTF taekwondo have punches, but they're not really practic in the sparring. but, as for the sparring for the real combat.. it is being practic.. but, sometimes a kick will been delivered. the hands we call in taekwondo is to strike not punch.. that strike means to hit with your hand that means anything the elbow, fist, chop and even the finger...

  • MIDGETS!??!?!

  • its an art yar.. respect all arts..no point fighting over them

  • "smells good right" hahaha

  • agreed and nice kick might need to practice it.

  • I really hate when ppls are talking about which martial arts are greatest and powerfulest than the other.

if u know a MARTIAL ARTS, you should know that ALL MARTIAL ARTS are powerful. It's just deppend on the fighter and the experiance that they spend on their arts.

  • i 1000000% agree

  • only idiots argue over which martial arts is better so if ur not an idiot feel proud of urself

  • @SoundwaveSuperior373 lol...agreed

  • @mrcho9009

and what opening they do, and what choices they make in the fight, and what kicks to the face they maybe miss to deflect :p

it could be like a pro, world champion, doing one mistake and gets downed by a newbie who maybe just got that kick and nothing else, and then everybody thinks the world champ is a nub xD

  • @mrcho9009 You right

  • @mrcho9009 It's just that some have the answers for some martial arts and some don't.

  • @mrcho9009 i agree. the people who try to find the best martial art never get good at any because they:

a- don't ever stick with any

    or

b- can't find the one that fits THEM best

  • @mrcho9009 I do agree, but some arts are more effective in real life while some are better as sports.

  • I love my teacher, he's serious but he can be really funny

  • mine too

  • i agree

  • you have to be fast if you wanna kick to the head, and did anyone else notice the instructor didnt keep his hands up o.o

  • in taekwondo sparring best to keep hands down

  • haha yeah if you want a fist in the face.

but its alot easier to keep them down

  • @mrboomer1 Depending on the rules and what type of tkd you do. In my style and orgaization we keep our hands up and punch.

  • @RDraGon2179-we do punch too but it is not very practical in competition sparring because many of them just think about the points to win. In my opinion, in WTF Taekwondo sparring rules doesn't allow to punch the face but a kick u can. only the area allowed being strike is the mid section and the head which is the head only by kicks and the mid almost anything. but, everytime u want to punch you just get a kick. but,in close distant you must use punches. for me it is not for points but to weaken

  • Aikido. You kidding me ?

    Aikido lacks realisticism.

The martial arts which can save your live is Brazilian Jujitsu, Jujitsu and striking martial arts.

    Not aikido.

  • If the technique is applied with the energy aimed to the ground, the attacker can't roll, and aikido is quite deadly.

All martial arts can save your life. I'd venture that BJJ is a fighting style and not a martial art. Singling out one enemy is usually a very bad idea, but great in UFC when there's only one enemy.

'Striking arts' usually hide very interesting techniques.

  • "I'd venture that BJJ is a fighting style and not a martial art." Thats actually a good way of putting it. Ive tried to explain to other why i dont put bjj in comparison with other martail arts but its hard to explain to ppl that dont train themselves. I might use that if its ok. ^^

  • @adrikk1 I'd venture that no gi ju jitsu would be a style and bjj would be an art. I would like for you to expain your oppinion to me. Just send me a message in my inbox.

  • @RDraGon2179

Idk about no gi ju jitsu but my opinion of bjj is it's both a style and art :)

  • no lie though some aspects of BJJ are impractical; like I would not want to get on the ground with my opponent...heck no

  • Says who????????

  • They can all save your ass in a real life situation if train for fighting in a real life situation. Every real martial artist knows this fact. You will act based on how you train.

  • lol @ ''smells good right?'' xD awesome teacher

  • it's not practical in sparring, normally you kick to the head with round house kick, tornado kick (aka turning round house kick) or a back spin kick

  • Well this is actually a hook kick but what do you mean...not practical? I've knocked out countless people with a front hook kick because they didn't react quick enough and because it is unpredictable. Think of it as a very quick backspin kick...where do you think backspin kick gets it's roots from? Hook kick can actually even be more dangerous then backspin because it's more accurate and you can also snap it harder then a backspin kick.

  • yeah, my instructor calls backspin kick spinning hook kick

  • hook kick works. bet.

  • Pretty risky move.

But pretty unpredictable at the same time.

  • hook kick hellloo

  • haha i was thinking the same thing myself

  • in karate you call it Uramawashi-geri

  • LOL...i would just hammer then with a turn-back side or an Axe!

  • I love this kick but I still have to perfect it.

  • pawnworks, its probably because your full of adrenaline and then you forget your fundamentals. the main thing in sparring is the keep calm and focus. that s how you win

  • I try all kinds of good kicks in my mind...but then when i spar..it all fades away to the basics..i hope to fix this problem.

  • the more you practice them the more they will start to come out. Some of the more "advanced" kicks are a little more complex and require more practice. But once you have got them down and PRACTICE regularly you will start to see them when you spar. NOTICE I said regularly.

I say this because I have hurt my self doing kick that I know I can do but that I hadn't practice. I cost me a ligament tear. So practice and do your stretches.

    PEACE

    XD

  • in karate people ude it all the time

  • I've seen people use it during sparring, but not often.

  • Why are people jealous of taekwondo.

  • maybe because taekwondo is in the olympics and it's also popular?

  • People think it's cool to bash traditional arts, esp. with the popularity of mixed martial arts. Unfortunately, many fans of MMA don't even realize Bruce Lee knew about the benefits of MMA back in the 60s-70s and it took the world 30-40 years later to realize that limiting yourself to one art is not good. That's not to say TKD isn't good; in fact it has some of the best kicks in MA, IMHO. Muay Thai also has deadly kicks. I don't think it's wise to bash any art; every art has something useful.

  • ya but honestly growing up watching the ufc all kinda of fights and i was in tae kwon do at a young age my dad is 3rd dan. id give it to muay thai simply for the fact most tkd arts dont teach the clinch and how to avoid/take less dmg in it

  • UFC is not realistic. It has rules, is in a confined environment, and the fight is limited to one opponent.

  • UFC is a bunch of fatties with some or little training in martial arts rolling around with each other on canvas having a f'ing fest

  • look at japanese shooto or the old pride events. its way better

  • i agree with u but ufc mma are not arts they are sports

  • because it usually use for sports not in full contact incounter, but if you know how to use the self defences and know the proper use of its execution it can help a lot to save your life in real.

  • "That's not to say TKD isn't good; in fact it has some of the best kicks in MA, IMHO. Muay Thai also has deadly kicks"

True but i have never seen a tkd fighter that has any real credability as a fighter. Many tkd ppl refer to anderson silva but i cant really see his tkd, i see his muai thai clear as daylight but apart from his flexability and his ability to attck in difficult angles i dont see any tkd at all.

  • 1 - I would kikk your fukkin head off with the power and speed of my tkd kikks.

2 - legs are your longest weapon so how can u even think that tkd has no credability in a fight or to a fighter.

  • i can see you've never been in a real fight

  • Another nice vid.(and funny)

  • Informative and funny

  • Bill Wallace was a big proponent of that technique as well.
