@madnutcase84 Yeah, like me. Well I wouldn't say I am expert, but I can dang near tell you a good cartoon. Like for one, Rocko's Modern Life, or even sitcom, Are You Afraid of the Dark? I never grew up in the 80's I was born in '97, but I grew up with that stuff. I had Rugrats toys, I carried the nickname Chuckie, I still have it, and I didn't even have glasses back then or red hair for that matter, but people called me it. I had Rugrats bed sheets, Spongebob wasn't my fav show till I was 5.

I really don't think Nickelodeon died. It started over but wtih shows now that other kids are watching now. I can say that i watch Nickelodeon now but only because my neices watch all the shows that are on now. So i record for them so when they get older they'll have this stuff like what we grew up watching with all the commericals and promos and stuff. I just hope one day Nick starts airing older stuff again soon.

Spongebob didn't fuck up Nickelodeon the asshole who took all the live action shows away and replaced them with horrible versions of themselves did that way before Spongebob premiered.

Well that's your choice, there are many different opinions for when nickelodeon went downhill, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, it could have been in any of those years, for me, nickelodeon went totally downhill in September of 2000, that's when they rebrand the network and lost variety in their schedule and played nothing but nicktoons all day long. I have nothing against the nicktoons of then, but it's just too much, and it wasn't like that before.

But even Nicktoons of 2002 are BETTER than The Spongebob/Fanboy/Penguins/I-Ca­rly Network it is now. Nick's meant to BE about slime, the Nicktoons (showing Rugrats only at 8:30 am is stupid), the game shows (Brainsurge at least harkens back to the days of old), and some sitcoms, but now, they air tween shows repeatedly when Nick HAS a TeenNick channel. TeenNick has even infected Nicktoons recently (ex: Ned's Declassified and Drake & Josh on at the times that Rugrats & All Grown Up used to be on)!

No, it actually went downhill. I still watch Nick these days by myself and even though I appreciate how funny the shows can be, I know how much more intriguing and colorful it CAN be.

Hell, even SPONGEBOB sucks ass now and it used to be one of those enchanting shows of the newer nick era that was on the same calibar as old school nick shows.

Ned's Declassifed was the last REALLY good Nick show though. I used to enjoy that well into my 20's.

@datguyyo LMAO what other options do kids have? all the kids shows on nick and disney have really high ratings...they all watch icarly, spongebob, hannah montana, wizards, etc...whatever the fuck is on. trust me, i am around alot of kids that these channels are geared to and they do not care. they will watch whatever is on.
